...not draw.

Aaarrrggghhh!

Didn't want to be the arsehole and put it on the thread but I scream inside every time I see it. Feel a bit better now.

And before anyone points out the title, it autocorrected and it should be 'it's'

And it’s ‘bear’, not ‘bare’ if you’re asking someone to bear with you.

Lovemybunnies · 02/08/2024 22:34

Agree, this drives me mad too!

suki1964 · 02/08/2024 22:35

Maybe that’s what’s happening to other people too though.
My autocorrect keeps making me look stooopid with their, they’re and there, as an example.

Theoldcuriosityshop · 02/08/2024 22:39

Also fazed instead of phased.

Blueuggboots · 02/08/2024 22:41

His instead of he's.
Ect rather than etc.

hobbledyhoy · 02/08/2024 22:42

@TheCrenchinglyMcQuaffenBrothers

True. I could be the arsehole here and it's just autocorrect fails.
I see it so often though, it drives me batty.

Chester draws is the worst 😂 always see them listed on facebook

AllFours · 02/08/2024 22:45

‘Draws’ for ‘drawers’ really does my head in! 🤯

Loose instead of lose.

"He's a looser."

"I don't want to loose my job."

Drives me fucking insane.

MrsWhattery · 02/08/2024 22:49

But fazed is right if you mean bothered.

Arcticlife · 02/08/2024 22:50

I can't deal with: "I'm shook" (instead of I was/am shaken). Gah!!!

Happily, it's not a mistake we rhotic speakers make.

DrCoconut · 02/08/2024 22:51

It can't beat would of and should of though.

Turmerictolly · 02/08/2024 22:53

Fazed and phased are two different meanings so it depends in what context they're used.

Enoughwiththisshit · 02/08/2024 22:53

Theoldcuriosityshop · 02/08/2024 22:39

Also fazed instead of phased.

Fazed = bothered/discomfited. "That didn't seem to faze her at all."

Phased = conducted in stages. "We arranged a phased return to work."

Humdrumdumb · 02/08/2024 22:55

Can’t beat pacifically instead of specifically and that old favourite, defiantly instead of definitely

MrsWhattery · 02/08/2024 22:56

Oh and bloody "nucular" - everyone says it now including BBC reporters, so I should probably accept it but it does my head i every time.

Tempnamechanger53 · 02/08/2024 22:58

Confusing complement and compliment of discreet and discrete

Rainallnight · 02/08/2024 22:59

I’m glad you said this OP. Draws for drawers is driving me mad.

Also fazed instead of phased.

Like a phased return to work? I am always internally screaming ‘ITS FAZED!!!!’ when people say phased instead of fazed. Which happens a lot.

Also a lot of (American) instagrammers writing ‘I’m balling!!’ ‘I balled my eyes out’…… they mean bawled. Just pure dumb.

Never never join a slimming group on Facebook. You will see the word lose misspelt in every single post.

Dd's Y2 teacher had a Stationary Drawer.

When the same teacher taught ds a couple of years later, in the same classroom, the drawer of pens and pencils still hadn't moved anywhere.
