This may have been done before but I find this really annoying. Someone advertised a chest of Chester drawers the other day πŸ˜‚. Anyone else.

Yes it's amusing but some people are doing it tongue in cheek now.

That book Eats Shoots and Leaves was funny in parts.

There are usually duvans, dinning tables and filling cabinets on offer, and various stationary items.

Chester drawers makes me loose my mind.

It's annoying. I've seen 'sort after item' at those antique/collectors fairs.

Chase Lounge, surely?

Someone keeps requesting a chaise longue on my local free site, but says one like the photo. The chair in the photo isn't a chaise longue.

Isn't that from accidentally pressing a key twice? I have a habit of typing off, onn, inn, itt etc and the spellchecker doesn't spot them.

I'm not sure, Pedant, I've seen it written incorrectly several times in the same post on social media.

Surely you mean Chester Draws? πŸ˜‰

I quite like it. I hope it will be one of those names for an object that has changed over time - as language is always evolving.
I like to think that 50 years in the future people will go to Ikea for furniture and say "ok...we are here to get a bed, Billy bookcase and a Chester" and no one will think it's odd πŸ˜‚
