No official video no. I have recorded some songs (handily, DP is a sound engineer so we have a home studio!)

I had better prewarn people that i look SHIT in photo's...if any of you are my FB friends you will have noticed already lol!(i get RL and MN names jumbled up so have no clue loL!)

Tillyscoutsmum · 19/11/2008 13:19

Can I have a listen to any then anywhere online ? [nosey bint emoticon]

I'm the same with FB - don't think you're my friend though ? Are you part of the MN group ? Will see if I can find you ?

saralou · 19/11/2008 13:42

hello all!!!

Lovemygirls, i tried to have an early night, but i couldn't sleep! lie in was impossible.. i was soooo excited!!! i had a horrible cold aswell and lost most of my voice on the day... but i was having so much fun (and alcohol) that i didn't feel tired once... in fact my head was buzzing so much that i still couldn't sleep that night!!!

our guests provided the confetti

now i have to run, my pooter has a virus and is making strange noises!!!

Tillyscoutsmum · 19/11/2008 14:09

LMG - What time is your wedding ? We're not getting married until 3pm but I've need to be showered, hair dried and have all various moisturiser/body creams etc. on before hair and make up lady arrive at 10.30 am. I also want to have had breakfast before then so I'm not going to be able to get much of a lie in, even if I can sleep

Dropdeadfred · 19/11/2008 15:59

Lovemygirls..I went to bed about 1am the night before and got up at about 8.30...not married until 2 so was very leisurely..everyone else staying with us met for breakfast and i got mine sent to my room...
You will not feel exhausted all day onestly..the adrenaline keeps you on a high..I couldn't bear the day to end

Blinglovin · 19/11/2008 18:29

PMSL at 8:30 - 14:00 being "leisurely". DDF - could you have a word with my mum!?

LoveMyGirls · 19/11/2008 19:02

I'm hoping to be in bed for 10pm and up about 8.30-9am will depend on what sort of time dd2 will be getting me up by then (she will be nearly 4 so I'm hoping she will be letting us have lie in's sometimes, occasionally now she'll let us have until 7.45 which is better than 6.30am)

We're getting married at 3pm too.

Saralou, what a shame about you being ill but good it didnt spoil your day!

LoveMyGirls · 19/11/2008 19:57

I'm trying to fill in the car hire form (shouldn't be hard I know) Can any of you help with my questions please?

If the wedding is at 3pm and the church is about a 2minute drive what time should I tell them to come to pick us up bearing in mind the car will have to do 3 trips (one with my sister and dd's, 1 with my 2 bf's and bf's son and 1 for me and my dad)

How long is the church ceremony? I think 45mins rings a bell I just tried to ring the church but it went to answerphone.

It also says we can have 40mins for photographs but surely as long as we're ready to go by the allocated time then its fine and doesn't matter how long the photos take?

Which brings me to another question, what do you do if it rains do you have to have your photographs taken at the reception instead? (i'm guessing it's the only option unless I want to get soaked?)

Tillyscoutsmum · 19/11/2008 20:10

Sorry LMG - I've not hired a wedding car so not too sure...

I would think you want to all be at the church 15 mins before the ceremony to have some pics done - so if you say each journey will be 10 mins (with people getting and out of the car etc.,), then I would get the car to your house to do the first lot at 2pm ish ? Better to have too much time that not enough

No idea on church ceremony time - depends on readings, hymns etc, I suppose ?

Would think photos will take more than 40 mins ?

LoveMyGirls · 19/11/2008 20:14

Says if you are longer than the allocated time for whatever reason the car will leave without you if it is made impossible for the car to leave they will charge you more money and also compensation if they are made late for another booking.

I would think if the photos are taking a while we can have them taken at the reception so that's not a problem really.

Dropdeadfred · 19/11/2008 20:54

If you tell the car company where you are travelling from etc they will normally work out the timing fo you - ours definitely did..

Tillyscoutsmum · 20/11/2008 11:21

Just had our first wedding card and pressie delivered Very excited. Not cos I'm a greedy bint, just because it means its really close now

MerlinsBeard · 20/11/2008 11:31

Tilly, not online that i know of (yet, i have been hired as a session singer so will prob be soon) but i can email you if you like? Think i have your email from sending the spreadsheets over.

I am on the MN group but haven't said who i am on the name thing but when i email you , i will put my real name on the bottom. Well, my real name for now

LMG: sorry to be useless but i can't help with any of that!We are having civil ceremony and friends driving us!

Am in the middle of making the CD for teh ceremony, we need the walking down the aisle music, the signing register music, and the exit music as well as a cd to have on while people are entering/leaving. We have our meeting with the registrar 2mo so need to take it in to check it works on their system.

The polaroids are out we are too skint never mind, we have got everything else we wanted

MerlinsBeard · 20/11/2008 11:33

lol @ leisure time!

I will have to have my bath etc the night before because i will be up 3 times in the night to feed ds3, then up early with the others! Need to finalise my make up friend to see what time she is coming and also what time my mum is arriving as i don't want her fussing around getting on my nerves in my way!!

Tillyscoutsmum · 20/11/2008 11:37

Ooh yes MoM - email me - would love to hear

Polaroids are out for us - the films are blooming expensive - even from the US. I'm going to pick up a normal guest book from WH Smith or somewhere at some point and just use that.

OK - will cut and paste my ceremony music choices. Just in case. If you like the entrance music - I have an instrumental mpeg I can email you

Coming Out
The Libertines ? Don?t Look Back into the Sun
Come in ? Hoppipolla (instrimental)

Register ? This is the One (Stone Roses), Romeo & Juliet (Dire Straits), I am myself (Neil Diamond)

Whilst guests are waiting
True Romance theme (You?re so cool ? Hans Zimmer) Ballade Pour Adeline, Canon in D, Tara?s Theme (Steiner), Des?ree Kissing You, Julie Cruise (Falling), Massenet Mediation, Somewhere Bernstein/Sondheim, Romeo & Juliet Nino Rota, Glasgow Love Theme Craig Armstrong, Alan Silvestri Forrest Gump, Pavane Faure, Clair De Lune Debussy,

After ? The Darkness, I Believe in a Thing Called Love

Blinglovin · 20/11/2008 11:50

It's not quite the same as the polaroids but what about buying some instant cameras for the tables? Leave a note asking friends to take pictures of themselves/each other so that you can be sure you have a "candid" shot to put with the guest book? Then leave space in the guest book for you to stick the pics in later?

Tillyscoutsmum · 20/11/2008 12:12

FIL is a bit of a keen photographer so I suspect he'll be taking a fair few shots in the evening, so we should get some decent drunk candid ones. I'll also leave my digital camera with one of the sober people (our count of pg guests in raising rapidly - my bf has just called to let me know she is pg as well - I think we're up to 7 pg ladies out of probably 35 female guests)

Dropdeadfred · 20/11/2008 12:14

is this too expensive?

remember you don't need a pic per guest..table groups/families/couples all go together
for 80 guests we only took 30ish pics

MerlinsBeard · 20/11/2008 12:16

mail on the way tilly

We already have disposable cameras for the tables and instant ones are still out of our reach money wise at mo. We have literally NOTHING today. Have to pay registrar tomo so obv we have that but then we have NOTHING for food and flowers and the boys shoes !!

MerlinsBeard · 20/11/2008 12:20

DDF, that first option would be great for me(money aside) but there is no camera with it and mine takes 500 films not 600 (just to be awkward lol!)
We have friends who are being our photographers for the day and i am sure that DPs Aunt will be bringing her camera and will take some (she calls herself a photographer but i don't like her photo's that's why we didn't ask her to do them, and she would charge us!!)

Tillyscoutsmum · 20/11/2008 14:47

MoM - can't find you on FB ! I'll admit I haven't looked at all 1,092 members of the mn group, but I've been looking for ages and haven't seen you yet !

Can you find me ? I've added a message on the "what's your mn name" discussion and should be the last post on there. Any one else who wants to add me is welcome as well

Just noticed on another thread that there is another mner getting married next saturday as well

Thanks for that DDF - looks like a good deal but think I'll just have to leave it for now (DP will flip if I spend any more). Maybe for my next wedding

MerlinsBeard · 20/11/2008 18:10

I think i have added you

Who else is getting married? What time? Its a race;)

thank you for those tips Jammi

Just been to pay our registrar and finalise which words we want to say in the ceremony...!

Tillyscoutsmum · 21/11/2008 15:02

Hello Jammi - thanks for the tips

MoM - I went to see the registrar earlier in the week - she was really lovely and said she's looking forward to doing ours because she loves ceremonies where young children play a part (she's got 9 grandchildren and she was all over dd ). She made me very excited

Had my final dress fitting this morning. Its better now its been taken in and the fur wrap thingy looked good with it. Its got to be pressed now and I'm picking it up on Friday.

Also went to order some contact lenses but they might take up to 7 working days to arrive In which case, I'm buggered !
