((((((((((((((((Mom)))))))))))))) What's up chick?

Love LOVE the french fancy cake I'd be happy with something like that but dp is against the lots of small cakes idea for some reason, this wedding would be much cheaper without him sticking his nose in

Fab pretty much all sorted, I can't wait to get to that point!

Tillyscoutsmum · 12/11/2008 20:25

Awww (((((MoM))))))). Hope you're ok

HEY

2 weeks and 2 days to go !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

MerlinsBeard · 12/11/2008 22:37

Hi Mrs Jammi CONGRATULATIONS

Your photos are fab and you look stunning. You've made me very excited about wearing my red dress now. It looks like everyone had great fun and I love the Karaoke pics (My speciality was always Fairground Attraction's Perfect or Hopelessly Devoted to you - depending on whether we were into double figures of vodkas )

MerlinsBeard · 14/11/2008 10:51

Congratulations Jammi
Looks like you had a great day!

We are having karaoke at our reception so hopefully lots of people will get up and sing!(i sing every week but have never sung in front of most of the guests so will be nerve racking!)

We also have a jazz pianist and a rock band lol!

Am feeling a bit better today, have had people dropping out of my hen do for really ridiculous reasons but i have got the point here i am thinking fuck em, i will have a great time with the people who do want to spend that time with me (and fgs it will cost people a tenner at most!) Went out last night (as usual)and had a fab night (as usual!) so feeling a bit more me today.

Tillyscoutsmum · 14/11/2008 13:28

Yay MoM - glad you're feeling better I had a couple of people drop out of my hen night as well (mostly genuine reasons I think, but I'm a bit of a cynicism free zone, so perhaps not)

Your reception sounds fab. Can't believe you're a singer. I'm very . I love singing but am pretty crap at it.

Ooh - good news. My scary friend is now able to come with me for my fitting tomorrow so she will kick ass

MerlinsBeard · 14/11/2008 14:54

hooray for scary friend

Got a big parcel of lovely goodies for the reception yesterday. All the platters for the food and the inflatables for the children .DP is a musician so we have bought a few inflatable guitars(thats what he plays) and some inflatable mic's for the kids to hit each other over the head with

Also got the cameras too

am getting excited for hen do now...tomorrow night yay!

Tillyscoutsmum · 14/11/2008 15:23

What are you up to for your hen ?

MerlinsBeard · 14/11/2008 17:12

going here I know this will give away anonymity but i know there is another hen do the same night

Tillyscoutsmum · 15/11/2008 11:42

Right - dress is being taken in. I still don;t think she was convinced but then she broke one of the straps on the back of the dress so it needed to go to be mended anyway and suddenly she was more amenable to getting it taken in (whilst it was there). I think we may be getting somewhere

MoM - have a fantastic night tonight. Looks like fun. Oh and by the way .............................

TWO WEEKS TO GO !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

MerlinsBeard · 15/11/2008 14:26

YAY Tilly!!!! (for the dressand 2 weeks to go)

MerlinsBeard · 16/11/2008 20:30

It's all gone v quiet on here.

mind you, i only have 1 other thread i am on and that will die its own natural death shortly

teafortwo · 16/11/2008 20:41

CONGRATULATIONS Jammi - what a completely, wonderfully happy day!!!

And what a veeeeery sexy wedding dress!!! I bet your DH looked like this - then this -

OH MY LIFE TILLY - 2 weeks

T42 starts buying hat and tissues - oh no don't panic - I am not planning on turning up at your wedding - I will need them for the mn reports and photos!!!!

Tillyscoutsmum · 16/11/2008 21:11

Hey MoM - how'd it go ? Hungover ?? It is quiet on here - lots of the regulars are now married and understandably not as wedding obsessed but....

Teafortwo came on to say hi to us - hoorahhhhhhhh !!!

Hello there my lovely - how're you ? You're definately going for a hat not a fascinator then ?

Went to the venue yesterday for final meeting which made it all seem really close. I got very excited and me and dsd had a "practice" of walking down the aisle DD just ran off which I suspect is how its going to go on the day.

MerlinsBeard · 16/11/2008 21:19

Oh lovely Tilly!

No not hungover, i don't really drink. I am UTTERLY shattered though! Had the best night of my life i think.

13 days

teafortwo · 16/11/2008 22:26

LOL at fascinator!!!

I am very well thank you! You sound completely on form Tilly - you must be on the ceiling excited about your wedding now!!!!

Seeing as it is a bit quiet around here I will ask you....My sister bought this dress...minimode.co.uk/girls-collection-party-dress for my dd to wear to be her bridesmaid in April. I am afraid given the time of yr dd will be brrrrrrrr cold.... What do you think for ideas to suggest to my sister about keeping dd warm???
I can't work out what would go with it...???

It is nice to be on this thread again - it is such a lovely place to be!!!

teafortwo, i have unoffically left MN (as in i didn't flounce so i can come back if i want) and this thread, the SN section and currently one about a FB group are the only threads i am on. Tis nice here

There is a cape/cardigan at the bottom of the picture of that dress that might be nice with it but you DO need Tilly I have boys so i know NOTHING about what girls should wear lol!

MerlinsBeard · 17/11/2008 09:57

plus april can go either way. When o had DS1 at the end of April in 03 it was warm, with DS2 at the start of April 05 it was VERY warm!

stretchmarkqueen · 17/11/2008 10:04

Hello all!! Congrats to the newly weds!!

OMG Tilly, is it only 12 days to go?? I take it your dress is ok?

I am back on this board now!! Had to take a little break, all that planning...!! I have been soooo busy writing thank you notes!! It's taken ages! Would def recommend as you open presents to have someone write down what the gift is, and who it is from!! Otherwise it's a nightmare writing thank you notes!!

We also had a guestbook which people could write their thoughts and wishes, it was a really lovely touch!

Have pic of my cake on my profile now!!

MerlinsBeard · 17/11/2008 11:27

Mmmmmm CAKE!

Tillyscoutsmum · 17/11/2008 11:54

Hey all - I love your pics stretch - cake looks yummy. I've just been to see my cake lady to finalise details and pay (well, pay mainly but I still got excited about it )

Not sure whether to have a guestbook - I was going to do a polaroid one (get everyone to take a polaroid pic of themselves, stick it in a scrap book and write a message next to it). That way I'd have at least one drunken pic of all our guests. Might have a look on ebay and see how much a polaroid camera will cost

Right T42 - lovely dress. I like the cardigan here which I think is the one MoM mentioned

If not, how about a faux fur cape like this or a shrug like this. Don't worry if you can get the size in BhS atm - they get their new wedding collections in at beginning of Jan, so will have full stock by then. Debenhams also get theirs in then as well.

pretty gold cardigan here just in case your sis isn't keen on the idea of your dd having something ivory (some brides can be a bit possesory about ivory/white )

one more really pretty cardigan
