lol lonelymum.

well dd's been at nursery, so they only put her on the potty when its nappy changing time.

dd did do a wee in their potty on the first day which i thought was a good sign, but we havent been very successful since.

Lonelymum · 11/08/2005 22:00

Hey but ds3 wore a nappy for quite a lot of the time and conveniently wet himself when outdoors!

Lonelymum · 11/08/2005 22:01

Only 4 wees in potty all day.

ordered over here by cod.

reporting for duty in making coddy feel better (and anyone else) by being least successful.

have 2yr9mo DS1 running round nappy-less in smart Thomas pants (well, not right now, he's currently asleep, safely nappied).

luckily, also have tiled floors.

Lonelymum · 11/08/2005 22:30

SF, don't feel intimidated by the Cod. Your ds will knock spots off hers as he is so much older!

clary · 11/08/2005 22:41

Lovin this one.
Cod, is that tmi about yr dh? H/ever, ds1 (6) usually sits, at home at least. I think it's fine.
ds2 by the way was 2 in april too (like bundle's dd, a bit younger than yr ds then cod.
He is doign really well tho I hadn't planned the PT till this summer at earliest after earlier exoeriences, but he just started telling us about doing wee/fetching the potty to sit on/etc a bit before he was 2.
Have to admit like others I didn't brave his gym class with no nappy for a few weeks tho!

marthamoo · 11/08/2005 22:58

I cannot possibly read all this so cod, how can you start a thread on potty training your ds3 and have 241 posts on it a few days later? What amazing secrets are you conveying?

Bouj · 12/08/2005 00:15

I want to know how you get ds3 to sleep on the sofa - mine would do a runner at the first opportunity!

fairyfly · 12/08/2005 02:58

Sounds like your Ds has really got the hang of Cod.

My Ds is doing really well too, no accidents for the past couple of days and dry nappies at night too.

Dp was laughing at me having to give Ds a mini counselling session everytime he wants a poo, but i don't care so long as he does it.

Have to go out uniform shoe and uniform shopping today, think i'll have to put Ds in a nappy even though he will still want to go to the toilet instead.

oh cod, now I feel silly, 'cos I need your help and advice:

my ds (first child) is 2.4yrs and we are very interested in getting him dry

he loves using his potty for wees and when around the house naked he will happily use it. he is also very interested in the toilet and loves to flush it

so..

any advice as to why, when clothed, without a nappy he just wets himself and what to do about it?

how can we encourage him that potty is also for poo?

flashingnose · 12/08/2005 09:01

A pants question for cod (or anyone else with more than one the same sex) - do all your boys share the same pants? Do you buy them from different shops? Otherwise how on earth do you tell whose is whose??

purpleturtle · 12/08/2005 09:12

Not ignoring you ladies, but don't have anything helpful to offer!

Ds has just taken himself to the potty again! [very proud]

But he has taken to removing his nappy at bedtime - result of which last night was 3 dollops of poo on the carpet .
