Just thinking it about my 6 year old. I wouldn't say it to her.

Just about to have tea and she just said she wouldn't tell me as I don't listen as I don't care about her.

I know she is just being a madam and knows I love her but it still hurts.

I have come upstairs and left dh to sort them out.

Ds1 just came in but I sent him away as he started it.

Why are you taking it out on your ds1? It's your dd you need to speak to. Your ds didn't make her say what she said. Tell your dd how she has made you feel.

DS1 has hurt her according to her, he denies it. So Dh said here we go again as they have been lying a fair bit. She then said that, I expect she was going to take about 3 weeks to tell me what had gone on.

I am not taking it out on ds1.

You said you sent him away. Maybe he wanted to talk to you? Stop sulking and deal with your children.

All sounds pretty typical bank holiday cooped up together stuff to me!

There's a difference between venting and calling a six year old a 'cheeky little cow' though fab. There is no need whatsoever for that

well if it helps I havbe been feeling like this about dd1 all day, she is pushing every button she can find at the minute. much sympathy, vent away, isn't it better to vent on herre than be pushing to actually saying it.

Sounds like normal 6 yr old behaviour. Be grateful that you have someone else who can step in and diffuse the situation (ie your dh). Not all of us do.

fab FWIW i think you did better posting here and not actually saying it in real life to your DD! what is this forum if not for posting the things you wouldnt say out loud?? i call my FOUR year old DD the same in my head sometimes it is how you do it in real life that counts! not a rant on an anonymous forum!!
