Why is it on mumsnet?

That if you wish to feed your children healthy food,
not smoke when you are pg,
look after them and make sure they are safe
I could go on and on..............
you are ridiculed for basically being a responsible parent?
I do hope that the views on mumsnet do not reflect society as a whole, what a scary thought.
I have changed my name as I know that if I said who I was as usual I would be shot down in flames.

Don´t shop in any UK supermarkets, buy 99.9% organic

chav is UK slang... I would call them westies westies , boguns , or rednecks. Not terms I use a hell of alot and most kiwis don´t give a sh1t anyway.

Read online NZ newspaper sometimes... generally I avoid the news, its all depressing, lies and violent.

Used student benefit and unemployed benefit but not long term. Lots of people in NZ on the dole. I believe musicians in NZ get an allowance.

Love having dinner parties and going to them. But find them abit more stressful with a child, so not so many atm.

Pregnant atm so no drinking, don´t drink much anyway. Like most of it, just don´t feel to drink it. DH doesn´t drink at all.

Some herbs for consumption and smoking. Its legal to grow where we live so we utilise that opportunity.

Jill of all trades but SAHM that could be writing but sleeps instead.

I always wanted a maid when I grew up... now I am the maid

No affairs, but a little light flirting is fun.

Recycle - yes

My mates shop was my favourite till she got pregnant and closed down. Now I scavenge what I can from various local shops

We are looking to buy land, or house.... suburbs scare the beejeezers out of me - guess though it depends on the kind of suburb it is.

No gym - child workout is enough

No diet

No smacks

Love breastfeeding

Don´t smoke

Don't shout as a rule... its something I don´t like so am actively reducing it out of my life - doing quite well and respond quietly instead... It feels good to me and dd seems to respond and listen to me

Am pretty happy - so not much despair. But if I feel to cry then I do it rather than hold it back. Had a crap dream last nite and woke up feeling abit down, so had cuddles with dd and then washed away the vibes in the shower... feel much better now.

Like Marthamoo.... know I am not your typical MN but it doesn´t put me off Alot more ballsy these days but have have hardly used name change and never done troll duty

Only shop online when I get a bribe (eg £30 off next Ocado shop).

Never buy organic

Cook most of our food (with fresh herbs ) - hardly use any ready meals or jars

Drink copious amounts of cheap white wine

Use disposable nappies, disposable sanpro, and disposable floor cleaning pads (well, the au pair does).

Recycle, but can't be arsed walking down to the compost heap

Have an au pair and treat her well

Breastfed for the past 13.5 years, including a 15mo of tandem nursing

3 homebirths!

5 natural births including a natural breech

Send 2 of my kids to a private school

Active in church

Professional in former life

Enjoy being a SAHM - no anguish whatsoever

Never bought Boden but have received hand-me-downs and have looked for it on Ebay.

Kids don't do any extra-curricular activities

Use hand-me-down children's shoes

Never smoked - not even one little drag

Don't do camping holidays

Never "lived with" anyone before marriage and had children in wedlock; all children have the same father and we all live together. But I did marry for a Green Card

We do have people over for supper and Sunday lunch, or go to their house for same.

Don't really need to smack, but I would never say never.

Hysterical lolling at Bundle's "named" bits of meat

Good joke Cam, but not that good

MistressMary · 30/06/2005 12:48

Shop online Tesco

Will buy organic

Estate head concept?

Read my mind.

Benefits are necessary

Dinner parties are pretentious

Wine is overrated

Patio garden

Approaching madness

I'm the cleaner

No lovers including my Partner.

Recycle because we have too, the bins only get emptied once a fortnight.

Per Una is my fave clothes shop and charity shops too.

House in the burbs cost a packet

No gym

No diet but sensible eating.

No smacks

Hated breastfeeding but did it for bubs sake.

Enjoy hiding ashtrays to guests who light up.

Hate shouting

Parenthood - Rollercoaster.

Cam, they have photos of said cattle (from Shetlands) in butchers but rather unimaginatively I think the cows have numbers, rather than names. I DO like to know what I'm eating...
