have to take DS1 to his induction afternoon (2nd one - hoping he doesn't throw up like he did last week LOL) at his new school.........thing is DS2 has his sleep at 1pm-3pm - and the induction afternoon starts at 1.30

So I'm going to put DS2 down for his sleep as usual, at 1.30 on the dot grab the monitor, lock the front door and whizz round to the school to drop DS1 off - then whizz back again

PMSL which bit? Its a bit of a long thread ya see.

tarantula · 01/07/2005 16:37

Better late than never tho QoQ Need a bit of fun before I head home

Prettybird · 01/07/2005 16:39

... aged about 1, I arrived at my Granny's, naked, having walked about a mile, through a herd of cattle, naked (nappy lost somewhere en route).

My mum didn't even know I wasn't in their house any more!

SO that's where my ds gets it from!

cook · 01/07/2005 16:40

Well it's such a strange forum. In most forums you start a thread about a particular topic, discuss that topic, then start another thread for a new topic. So, I am discussing the topic that this thread was created for. Obviously.

WigWamBam · 01/07/2005 16:42

But this isn't most forums, cook, this is Mumsnet, and we're allowed to discuss what we like on whichever thread we like. Going off-topic isn't actually a cardinal sin, you know.

tarantula · 01/07/2005 16:43

and it would be soooo boring if we stuck to the topic too. Wed ahve missed Julie and tony and JM on the loo

QueenOfQuotes · 01/07/2005 16:44

and if it didn't involved giving my exact location out I'd post a link to the multimap 'picture' of where I am

OP posts:
Prettybird · 01/07/2005 16:44

Well you've obviously not read the whole thread and realsied that in the even what was being talked about was a 2 minute and 1 second absence from a locked house, leaving a sleeping child, but with a baby monitor.

What the thread has been about - mostly - is our different views of risk assessment.

But what we don't do is accuse someone of lying or being a criminally neglectful, and stupid woman

ninah · 01/07/2005 16:45

qoq I don't think that's advisable!

Caligula · 01/07/2005 16:47

No you'd have all the nannies in England lining up to check you're doing it right...

QueenOfQuotes · 01/07/2005 16:47

ninah - don't worry I'm not going to LOL

flashingnose · 01/07/2005 16:48

pmsl at this thread once again - I'm never ever removing it from my "Threads I'm watching"

Caligula · 01/07/2005 16:49

FN - I'm gonna carry on bumping it forever!

QueenOfQuotes · 01/07/2005 16:50

Have to confess -

Yes - I did realise I'd get a 'reaction' - I had NO idea it would exceed 1000 posts - and last for nearly 2 weeks (ok that's partly my fault for getting the week wrong ) 'controversial' threads generally get around 300-500 posts LOL

OP posts:
Prettybird · 01/07/2005 17:01

... Naught, naughty girl.

Go and stand on the steps!

But oops, you might be hit by a meteorite or falling ice from a plane and not be able to look after your dss.

QueenOfQuotes · 01/07/2005 17:02

oh but pretty - I already confessed that AGGGEESSSS ago on this thread that I knew there'd be a reaction......

And they say you shouldn't punish a child days (or even hours) after they've been naughty so it wouldn't be fair to make me sit on the naughty step now
