have to take DS1 to his induction afternoon (2nd one - hoping he doesn't throw up like he did last week LOL) at his new school.........thing is DS2 has his sleep at 1pm-3pm - and the induction afternoon starts at 1.30

So I'm going to put DS2 down for his sleep as usual, at 1.30 on the dot grab the monitor, lock the front door and whizz round to the school to drop DS1 off - then whizz back again

QOQ did if even cross your mind to check on the baby when you got back or were you just too busy trying to prove a point?

WigWamBam · 28/06/2005 19:41

Oh, don't be so deliberately stupid. Of course she will have checked her baby.

shinypeople · 28/06/2005 19:45

why "of course"?

sorry i didn't realise you were there looking over her shoulder as she walked to school, said her good byes to DS1, chatted with mums, walked home and then typed away (all within 2 mins)

forgive me for my stupidity

ooops forgot the "checked on baby" before sitting down to type

starlover · 28/06/2005 19:49

tbh she had no reason to check on the baby. she had a monitor with her.

yo9u don't check on your kids every 2 mins while they're asleep do you?

WigWamBam · 28/06/2005 19:52

I can forgive your stupidity. Sarcasm doesn't suit you, though.

QOQ is not a bad mother - making assumptions like the one you have made is insulting and ridiculous.

Fio2 · 28/06/2005 19:54

ffs do you all want me to weep for this to stop

Blu · 28/06/2005 20:04

I just can't believe that there are over 900 posts on a thread where people havde questioned - judged, even - each others parenting skills, changed their names, slung insults - AND NO-ONE HAS QUOTED THE MN PHILOSOPHY. MN is really going downhill. I'm off to some morally superior site.
Flounce.

lou33 · 28/06/2005 20:06

ahem, blu, i think you will find i linked to it earlier. Not that it seems to have made any difference

hunkermunker · 28/06/2005 20:06

Blu, hate you to be disappointed...

Caligula · 28/06/2005 20:07

Oh Fio, how can you want it to stop? Don't you know it has to reach 100 posts?

(Nearly there!)

Caligula · 28/06/2005 20:08

Sorry, missed a 0! I meant a thousand, of course!

MrsGordonRamsay · 28/06/2005 20:09

If we get this to 1000 posts QoQ do you promise to stop ??

It is getting a tad boring

QueenOfQuotes · 28/06/2005 20:09

lol - no I didn't check on him - the door was still shut, I could hear his snoring through the door, and generaly I let him sleep 'in peace' when he goes down for his nap.

starlover

No i don't check my sleeping baby/children every 2 mins but I don't leave them sleeping in a locked house by themselves (just because i am too selfish to have a slighty grumpy baby) either.

I have a child at school and another at nursery. This means that i am doing drop off or pick up in the middle of my 14 month olds' sleep. I wake him up everytime if i am leaving the house because you don't take risks with your childrens safety.

starlover · 28/06/2005 20:10

so basically, QOQ put her baby down to sleep. she had a monitor so knew he wasn't crying... and yet she is supposed to check on him? why?

in case he hurt himself silently while she was out of the hosue?

a child could do that while you're IN the house...

makes no sense

LancashireLass · 28/06/2005 20:11

for all you people who thought I am a newbie on nannyjob.co.uk just posting that thread on there to casue trouble.

Firstly I am not a newbie....I have been a nannyjobber for a while, just using another name 'Annabelle_Manchester'.

Secondly I did not post the thread to cause trouble, I posted it to highlight what a mother was doing, and the fact that I found it rather shocking and so wanted to share it with my fellow nannyjobbers.

WigWamBam · 28/06/2005 20:13

Parent leaves sleeping baby for 2 minutes, 31 seconds.

It was hardly worth all the fuss, was it.

QueenOfQuotes · 28/06/2005 20:15

MRS Gordon Ramsay - I'm not the one bumping - it's all these other trouble makers

PS Mumsnetter is one of the following (I think)

haven't had time to 'narrow it down' yet as been putting the boys to bed - where I've leave them until 8.30 in the morning without checking on them

WigWamBam
Enid
Aloha
St. George

and 'possibly' one or two others -

Just caught up with this thread again. So when are all those people who have been throwing insults around throwing a leaving party then? And can I come?

monkeytrousers · 28/06/2005 20:18

41 to go. I'll leave you to it

LancashireLass · 28/06/2005 20:21

VERY WELL SAID RE THE ABOVE, SHINYPEOPLE! IS IT REALLY THAT HARD TO WAKE A CHILD UP RATHER THAN COMPROMISE THEIR SAFETY?

LancashireLass · 28/06/2005 20:22

How old is the baby QoQ?
