have to take DS1 to his induction afternoon (2nd one - hoping he doesn't throw up like he did last week LOL) at his new school.........thing is DS2 has his sleep at 1pm-3pm - and the induction afternoon starts at 1.30

So I'm going to put DS2 down for his sleep as usual, at 1.30 on the dot grab the monitor, lock the front door and whizz round to the school to drop DS1 off - then whizz back again

havent read the entire thread, but in answer to your original query.
its not the best thing to do. BUT i have done the same a few times. called up my mom and dad, told them iwas going to pick up ds2 and if i wasnt back in 15 minutes, to call the police etc.
and as soon as i pop back in the house i phone them back to let them know i ok.
dad used to leav e my sis at home asleep when he went to get me from nursery.

QOQ - I think you start a thread over there - since Lancashire Lass hasn't bothered to own up.

Come up with an inventive name.

Not me either HH

Caligula · 28/06/2005 18:23

Ooh, I'd choose a name like "badmother" or "negligentmother" or "don'tgiveashitaboutmykids" - that should go down well!

mishmash · 28/06/2005 18:25

Who is Mumsnetter? [winkn]

emily05 · 28/06/2005 18:31

Blimey QoQ another website you are now being talked about on!! You do get about dont you
I cant believe all of this over going out for less than 5 minutes. Hung my washing out took me at least 10 minutes today whilst ds slept. This is crazy (and I have even been on a thread where 99% of mumsnetter agreed that I was over protective with my ds and probably a bit barking)

sparklymieow · 28/06/2005 18:35

I have run round the corner and posted a letter when my kids have been asleep........ I should be shot

zebraZ · 28/06/2005 18:44

What a bunch of santimonious prats they are on nj.

trinityrocks · 28/06/2005 18:46

I'm not TELLING!! I WANT THE RIGHTS!

JULIEBURCHILL · 28/06/2005 18:55

alright, it's Parsons

JULIEBURCHILL · 28/06/2005 18:56

OR it could be Cosmo too...

JULIEBURCHILL · 28/06/2005 19:03

but it IS definitely one of the two

SheWhoIsMumsnetter · 28/06/2005 19:19

Wrong. It's neither of them.

I thought QOQ could spot any Mumsnetter by their writing style at 50 paces

monkeytrousers · 28/06/2005 19:22

Oh oh, come on, do tell!

SheWhoIsMumsnetter · 28/06/2005 19:25

It doesn't really matter, does it?

monkeytrousers · 28/06/2005 19:27

Oh go on. Give us a blast of your syntax

SheWhoIsMumsnetter · 28/06/2005 19:29

You can see enough of my syntax on the thread in question, thanks very much!

I'm a regular poster who got sick and tired of seeing such smug, sanctimonious, holier-than-thou crap being spouted about a situation that they hadn't been given the full story on.

Doesn't matter who I am, I've said my piece on both threads and that's that.

Fio2 · 28/06/2005 19:30

i dont know what any of you are on about
