have to take DS1 to his induction afternoon (2nd one - hoping he doesn't throw up like he did last week LOL) at his new school.........thing is DS2 has his sleep at 1pm-3pm - and the induction afternoon starts at 1.30

So I'm going to put DS2 down for his sleep as usual, at 1.30 on the dot grab the monitor, lock the front door and whizz round to the school to drop DS1 off - then whizz back again

nailpolish · 28/06/2005 17:09

i hope you are taking the children staight to the kitchen with you from the computer

ClaireRibs · 28/06/2005 17:10

I think its all going a bit too far now. Theres no need to take the piss, we are just giving our honest opinions. You want to go out and leave your child sleeping, do it. Surely you didnt expect everyone to be like 'Oh yes thats a fantastic idea!' no, we all have opinions. That is the point of a forum surely, to express your views.

you must be joking - if I let my boys anywhere near the food cupboards they'll raid them - and they're quite tall and big enough as it is

HappyHuggy · 28/06/2005 17:10

starlover · 28/06/2005 17:10

i think i am going to invent a big harness so that we can atatch all our kids to us all the time, at least until theyt are 18.

that way we will never ever leave them anywhere!

QueenOfQuotes · 28/06/2005 17:13

claire - I'd still like to know "Who" Lancashire Lass is - and "why" she felt the need to join NJ simply to post about this thread..........

and do you ever put your washing on the line, or enjoy the afternoon sun while your child/charge is/are asleep??

Or even more importantly - do you take them with you to do a cr*p

OP posts:
QueenOfQuotes · 28/06/2005 17:14

oh - ok - I do apologise HH - I assumed it was you - using the same name as elsewhere - hmmmmm so now we've got TWO mysteries

Lancashire Lass,
and,
Mumsnetter

OP posts:
HappyHuggy · 28/06/2005 17:17

QueenOfQuotes · 28/06/2005 17:17

QueenOfQuotes · 28/06/2005 17:17

HH - it's on the "Would you yes or no" thread on there

ClaireRibs · 28/06/2005 17:18

I dont know who lancashire lass is but i think shes posted before. It wasnt just a one off.
I am no longer a nanny, but if i was, I wouldnt leave a child sleeping in the house whilst i went out. I would put the child in a pram or wake them up. As a parent, it is up to you how you bring ur children up but as a nanny this would not be acceptable.

Caligula · 28/06/2005 17:18

Oh thank you for posting that link, that thread is so funny.

QueenOfQuotes · 28/06/2005 17:20

"I dont know who lancashire lass is but i think shes posted before. It wasnt just a one off. "

Claire - none of us (including you NJ'ers) are dim. She joined (according to the profile you can click on from her posts) on Sunday at 3.04 - she started the thread on there are 3.08, all of her posts have been on either the thread she started, the 'poll' one about this thread, and the one where someone asked her were she's from!

OP posts:
ClaireRibs · 28/06/2005 17:23

i was looking at the number of posts she had written and it was 14, so i thought maybe she would have posted previously.

homemama · 28/06/2005 17:33

Hi QoQ, I've missed today's posts but I'm glad the sky didn't fall in and all that!

Was laughing about this thread with my HV this morning (who did not feel the need to report you BTW). She thought locking your kids in the loo with you whilst you poo (as earlier posters suggested) would be looked upon as far more worrying than nipping next door!

QueenOfQuotes · 28/06/2005 17:37

homemama - I think you'd better report your HV - after all surely she should have been rushing to report me or she wouldn't be doing her job properly.

(lots of jealous looks from other mums today - oh and yes - they were still all the stereo typical 4x4 drivers, with angelic blonde haired, blue eyed little children who couldn't do a thing wrong)

fishfinger · 28/06/2005 17:37

QueenOfQuotes · 28/06/2005 17:38

OP posts:
mishmash · 28/06/2005 17:40

ClaireRibs · 28/06/2005 17:46

starlover · 28/06/2005 17:46

baby world.

i bet qoq was so upset to be banned from there! lol

WigWamBam · 28/06/2005 17:46

BabyWorld.

Fishy, the "no personal comments" bit applies to you as well, you know.

QueenOfQuotes · 28/06/2005 17:48

yes - sorry Babyworld - was banned for daring to criticse the old style forums - pleased to say I wasn't the only person banned at the same time
