have to take DS1 to his induction afternoon (2nd one - hoping he doesn't throw up like he did last week LOL) at his new school.........thing is DS2 has his sleep at 1pm-3pm - and the induction afternoon starts at 1.30

So I'm going to put DS2 down for his sleep as usual, at 1.30 on the dot grab the monitor, lock the front door and whizz round to the school to drop DS1 off - then whizz back again

i'm just gonna go to mcdonalds.

might get some petrol too. of course, i am a fantastic mum, so i will be trailing my 7 kids across a busy forecourt so that they can get run over.

Dahlia · 28/06/2005 16:15

can't you just send them to macdonalds on their own?

Interested in this thread?

my ds is asleep. do you think i should put the computer in his room?

just in cas a bird comes in the window and pecks him to death or something

handlemecarefully · 28/06/2005 16:16

Mine are at Nursery actually. I am at work hence prolific posting currently

nailpolish · 28/06/2005 16:19

Easy, i was being sarcastic, sorry it didnt come across.

should have added, i worry about these things, for split seconds, dismiss them immediately and carry on with my life as normal, otherwise where the hell would you be?

i know the difference between way-out ridiculous behaviour and sensibility

handlemecarefully · 28/06/2005 16:22

They are barking mad on that thread aren't they - I keep popping over to update myself on what they have said next.

I'm quite sure that most of them don't realise the distance involved in QoQ's 2 minute 31 second school drop off

mishmash · 28/06/2005 16:23

Own up - who is Lancashire Lass on this thread

QueenOfQuotes · 28/06/2005 16:24

actually I've got TWO thread on there about me!!!!

OP posts:
QueenOfQuotes · 28/06/2005 16:29

OK we know that Lancashire Lass lives in Oldham (or at least is from there) and has done nannying.

Doing a search on MN for "Oldham"

produces

Oliveoil
Custardo
Jan H???

BTW COMPLETELY off topic - Kateandthegirls half sister apparently used to live there - but where is she - haven't seen her around for a while - unless she's changed her name

OP posts:
Caligula · 28/06/2005 16:53

oh please please please post a link to that nj thread - it's so funny when nannies get self-righteous about how bad at raising children mothers are... don't know how the human race has survived, I really don't.

This thread is delicious, I want it to go on forever.

QueenOfQuotes · 28/06/2005 16:55

here you go Caligula

here

and

here

The latter one is wrong though - the school isn't 2 minutes away - the whole trip (from computer to school door and back again) took two minutes

Easy · 28/06/2005 17:06

QueenOfQuotes · 28/06/2005 17:06
