have to take DS1 to his induction afternoon (2nd one - hoping he doesn't throw up like he did last week LOL) at his new school.........thing is DS2 has his sleep at 1pm-3pm - and the induction afternoon starts at 1.30

So I'm going to put DS2 down for his sleep as usual, at 1.30 on the dot grab the monitor, lock the front door and whizz round to the school to drop DS1 off - then whizz back again

JULIEBURCHILL · 27/06/2005 17:28

I'm a GENIUS!! Oh, the rush of greatness!

Prettybird · 27/06/2005 17:29

No prblem HarrietsMommie - just goes to show no har feelings, even though I am one of the "neglectful" parents!

....now I could tell the story of the time we lost ds, aged 17 months..... my fault too (and I wasn't even in the house!)!

JULIEBURCHILL · 27/06/2005 17:33

Actually, it's CRAP. But at least I know it - unlike you, eh Tone?

HarrietsMommie · 27/06/2005 17:33

Do tell prettybird....

TonyParsons · 27/06/2005 17:34

I am more talented than you.

I am, I am, I am.

I must be.

HarrietsMommie · 27/06/2005 17:39

Actually once went for a walk in forest with ds and dd and made up a great big story about how there were bears and wolves and lots of mystical creatures living there just to make the atmoshpere a little more imaginative and dd because absolutely hysterical and I couldnt stop laughing at her poor thing!!!

Another time we lived near a military museum and it was our first week walking dd back from school and I heared gun shots and bombs going off and they sounded extremely close. I was terrified, looking around at all the other parents who didnt seem phased at all. It turned out to be a firearms display the military museum put on every thursday lunchtime but it really frightened me! Not so much being a bad mum - more of a stupid mum!

JULIEBURCHILL · 27/06/2005 17:41

QueenEagle · 27/06/2005 17:42

I have a confession to make and I fully expect to be hung, drawn and quartered by the mumsnet jury.

On Friday night, dh and me went out to a nightclub until about 2.30am leaving all of our children asleep in bed.

QofQ - I think this will get you off the hook!

HarrietsMommie · 27/06/2005 17:43

HarrietsMommie · 27/06/2005 17:45

fishfinger · 27/06/2005 17:46

QueenEagle · 27/06/2005 17:47

Yes she does. It was a calculated risk, my brother lives down the road and my dad lives 5mins away. They were aware that we were going out. DD had the house phone and her mobile with her in her bedroom which is next to the 2 youngest's room.

fishfinger · 27/06/2005 17:47

well lets hope there isnt a fire and they all die.
