GGrr up too early now clocks gone back! Don't the kids realise they could have an extra hour in bed?

purplesal · 25/10/2009 09:21

It's great having an extra hour - I have got so much done already this morning and it's not yet 9.30am. I know it's only psychological, but I am feeling very pleased with myself. Someone emailed me last night to say tehy wanted to buy some nappy liners but couldn;t see them on my site, so have listed 3 types of nappy liners and 7 different wraps this morning - a job I've been putting off doing!

NappyShedSal · 25/10/2009 09:27

Now, finally got round to changing my name here as well - just checking to see if it's worked. This extra hour is great!!!

Good news Myjob. If your new ones are too big, let me know ;)

I've been away for a few days - bet nobody noticed though, lol - and I'm just trying to catch up on here.

I seem to have lost a few of you from my Facebook friends, I don't know how it's happened. I've had to request Octo again, and I have Tree and kmummy I think. If anyone wants to help me build up my friends again I'd be grateful

mumskullface · 25/10/2009 18:14

Scotia Yes you have disappeared from my friends list! How strange, have requested you again.

JennyPennyNAPPYWEB · 25/10/2009 18:21

Do you still have me? Jennifer Webb?

Scotia · 25/10/2009 18:35

Thanks mumface, got you n ow. Jenny I've requested you again

You might find they are ok on the tightest poppers. I need a couple but I'll wait and see how yours are first though because I could get you a couple of mediums and swap, although I think WN would take them back and do mediums for you too.

Could be. Kerr's WNAI2s and his WNSS are larges (medium rise though) and they fit him fine, and will possibly fit him until he is about 2 with the amount of room he has in them. He is about 20lbs and on the second tightest poppers they are a nice neat fit. Hopefully your NN will be ok for size

JennyPennyNAPPYWEB · 25/10/2009 23:28

Have added pics of woolies on the facebook page! NKFN soakers in medium and large in 3 different colourways! Not on the site yet but will be at some point this week.

Scotia · 26/10/2009 00:15

Love the soakers Jenny - I'm thinking about buying one of your fleece soakers but not sure what size to go for, It's for over an UDNN. What do you think?

Kerr is in a disposable tonight because he's sore from his wraps around his thighs. I'm a bit fed up actually. I've been using TotsBots fleece wraps, which are ok but he undoes them . Last night he had on an UD minkee wrap and it was really bad this morning. They are brand new from the closing to the public sale, and lovely as they are, I don't think they are going to work for us unfortunately. Even his woolies are a bit rough on his skin - what can I do about that?

Have just ordered an Itti AIO from Cheeks and Cherries Mistermoo - excited

mumskullface · 26/10/2009 09:43

My new UD minkee wraps are not working for nights either, so I will stick to wool and fleece.
Am excited as my mum has given me my birthday present ready for tommorrow and the box is so light I'm sure it's the cream merino shorties she has been knitting
Got back from school run to find my LE Itti AIO's arrived, tiger & blue polka
I can put Lewis in them full time now as I have 11! They don't take as long to dry as I thought they would. I do have to add snap in booster but he is 2yrs 8mths now.

twinklingfairy · 26/10/2009 11:06

What do you think of these wool wraps ?
Do you think they any good?

How about these

Can you tell I am hard up.
Those ones you have are lovely but I would like to keep to the £10
Or are they worth the stretch?

Sorry for hijack again
but with all your lettering of everything you all seem so knowledgable

treedeLivingDeadery · 26/10/2009 11:07

Scotia - he is sensitive isn't he!? It could be the lanolin in the wool, although it isn't common some are sensitive to it. Have you tried merino wool? That is almost like a think silk in texture.
What about a nappy pin through fthe fleece? Put the closure on the inside so he can't undo it. Or if poppers work on him just sew a few on.

Octo - have prob missed you but love the frontpage of the site [my baby's bum especially ] and have a lovely holiday. Looking forward to recieving my keyrings.

mumsface at the shorties, at the AIO. Infact have another

mumskullface · 26/10/2009 11:15

Hi, Havn't tried those woolies but have heard good things about them. Have heard Nappy web are getting some reasonably priced woolies in soon. Loook on FB group page.
Those nappies look like Disana tie ons. I have one, pretty useless unless hugely boosted and a faff to tie up under baby.

Scotia · 26/10/2009 11:27

Yes tree, we've had no end of trouble with almost all the wraps I have tried I haven't had a problem with his ittis or wee notions so day time is no problem, just when I use 2-parters. I didn't intend to use the UD wrap overnight really, he just conked out early so I left it on him (I had just changed his nappy though, lol).

What about these then? They are merino. Do they still need to be lanolised or are they ready to use? They are a really good price for wooliesI've made him a pair of longies from a cashmere jumper I had, and I thought I might make him a soaker from the body too. I guess he'd be less sensitive to that, but again, I don't know if I'd need to lanolise it.

treedeLivingDeadery · 26/10/2009 11:32

You would prob need to lanolise - the wool would naturally be stuffed full of lanolin but there is no knowing how much has been removed in manufacture.
Thats a cracking price.
I have found that Harriets white company cashmere pants have done the job with no treatments so far, yet the wool bought in a ball and knitted up needed a good few treatments.

I found an empty fuzzi bunz made a cracking wrap - just size up.

JennyPennyNAPPYWEB · 26/10/2009 12:27

at the price of those woolies. Can't work out how they make any profit at that price really! Although I guess if things are produced on a larger scale then they do end up cheaper.

The pics of the wool soakers are on the facebook fan page rather than the group. Would do a link but will probably get told off again. It has a circle of coolababys as the main pic.

Scotia, with regards to the fleece soakers - I would get a size above what you use in the day if its for night times. I had run out of Large, but Octo is returning a large to me to swap for an XL so that one will be avaliable. Think it was tractors but will double check if anybody is interested. Defo a boy one anyway.

Scarybots · 26/10/2009 20:08

......Or you could check the other sellers! Loads of large bebbesnuggles on a site not too far away

myjob Got mine yesterday too even paid for courier as didn't want to risk Royal Mail with precious LE Itti's! Did you go for medium or large? I like the fit better than the snap-ins but I think they are slightly less absorbent not being all bamboo. I use the bamboo snap in boosters for Lewis.
