hello everyone

Octo - deffo have a cup of tea... i will join you...

I have one ill DS at home from school (day 3, so now just irritable, bored, not really that ill any more) He insisted on buying toy plastic handcuffs from "post" office this morning ("Oh, I've always wanted handcuffies mummy!")

DD in pom-pom making frenzy, complete with annoying humming noise

DS2 just done poo in MEOS... well, I knew it was coming, and it couldn't have happened to a better nappy

mumskullface · 23/10/2009 16:12

Haha, mine begs for the silver plastic gun at the PO every time!

Octothebigblackscaryspider · 23/10/2009 17:01

I am alive - mine are looking for plastic vampire teeth and bloddy fingers for their outfits. Maybe I could borrow the handcuffs and handcuff them together!!

Octothebigblackscaryspider · 23/10/2009 17:08

the top is still attached to the jeans! Will sort later when they are in bed

mistermoo · 23/10/2009 17:26

octo... you are so welcome to the handcuffs. They even came complete with plastic keys. Is it right to have this sort of thing on sale in an institution sponsored by Her Majesty?

Octothebigblackscaryspider · 23/10/2009 17:28

actually may have some handcuffs hahahaha

off now to purchase fri night wine... DH home early, thank the lord, as was about to lose plot...

purplesal · 23/10/2009 19:15

Mistermoo - hope you have recovered from last weekend.

twinklingfairy · 23/10/2009 20:49

Hello, can I ask your advice?

My DS has terrible nappy rash and is on his third prescription of antibiotics for balinitis (a fungal infection).
The doc has told me to get him into paper nappies to get his bottom into a dryer enviroment, she says only for a couple of weeks.
But what happens when I put him back in his nappies and it all starts again.
I really love my cloth nappies and hate paper ones.
I am frightened that it will be the only solution, to give them up

A friend suggested babmboo squares, she said they made a HUGE difference to her sons very bad nappy rash.

What do you guys think?
Or any other thoughts?

I think I will start a thread on this too, but I hope you don't mind me poppiing my head in for a bit of advice from you guys too

mumskullface · 23/10/2009 21:02

Hi, Twinklingfairy How about trying a liner? have heard very good things about silverliners, silver is antibacterial and restricts the growth of bacteria. Octo can probably tell you more about these.
Also maybe you could use cloth baby wipes with a solution with some lavendar or tea tea in to try and prevent it occurring again.

twinklingfairy · 23/10/2009 21:08

Those both sound interesting.
How do you use cloth wipes when out and about??
Would I have to have a wee squirty bottle or some such?

I use bumbles with an extra fleece liner in already cos I don't want DS to feel wet, but it is obviously not working for him

But silverliners

Hopefully octo will be along soon to send me in the right direction about that one

Twinkling - Ive replyed on the other thread.

And Hellooooooooooo whats all this talk of pink fluffy handcuffs?? and i missed it!

Hi Mistermoo, nice to meet you last weekend! I also have Friday night wine and am enjoying it!!!

Edgar - the bb popper page is working this end,not sure why you are having problems.

Octo, will find your fb page! Glad top jeans combo has been seperated are they both unscathed from their ordeal? lol

twinklingfairy · 23/10/2009 21:13

DS is just a couple of weeks off 12 months, so no chance of potty training.
My friend tried this with her DS, but I am not sure it was quite as successful. It took him over a year to be fully dry.

Glad it worked for you though
