My son is due his single boosters and I tried to ring them but the number is no longer in use and their website is not working either.

My eldest son is still waiting for his mumps booster too which I have paid for so will be extremely cross if they have gone out of business.

Thanks

My 9 year old son has just had the MMR combined booster. He had single vaccines with DH2000 when he was 13 months old. I then had a private blood test done to see whether he needed the booster jabs. The blood test showed that he had immunity from measles and rubella but just needed the mumps booster. I paid DH2000 #140 years ago and was fobbed off and fobbed off. Then I heard that Merck who make the mumps vaccine also makes the MMR vaccine and they were not allowed to bring it into the country at all. Pressure by the govt I am sure.
We gave up and gave our son the combined MMR just so that he would have the mumps part. I have been told that it was the only option open to us.
I was told by DH2000 that they would refund us with proof that he had had the MMR. Don't know why we fell for that delaying tactic. Cannot believe this has happened to so many people.

Hi There
Like many of you, looked for the website to find a number (assumed the one on my paperwork had been changed)! Have seen lots on here about Watchdog/Creditors. Does anyone know if this has been on Watchdog or if any luck has been had or is likely to have with creditors. I paid for all 3 boosters, was chasing Rubella. Thanks

Just to let you know that I got a full refund of monies owed from my credit card company, £233 in total. This was even though I had paid it out in 2007. Amazing!

I received a letter from ww.aceltham.co.uk saying my appointment in december 09 had been cancelled due to unforeseen circumstances and they would contact me soon. Unfortunately I'm only now getting around to chasing them and found the phone number and website not working. When I googled them this website came up. Thankfully I am not owed any money by them as I said I would pay (extra to pay on day) when the vacine arrived as I'd had a delay with my second child. Has anyone been to the Maidstone facility that's mentioned above www.maidstonehealth.co.uk and if so what were your thoughts?

Hi, i am trying to get hold of Direct Health - my daughter is waiting for mumps booster for about 2 years now and is coming up to 10 years old so really needs it - seeing the other comments seems they have disappeared - is this right?

I am in a very similar situation to the ones people have listed above. I contacted the liquidators this week and received a reply. They have advised me that they have made no further distributions since October 2010 and to contact my credit card company. Just spoke to Santander and because I paid for 3 boosters and 2 have been given, the £160 I paid for the mumps is unrecoverable as we have received part of what we paid for. I didn't pay via a credit card, it was a visa debit. Unfortunately, I am also owed another £160 for my other son's mumps booster. Anyone got any ideas how these fees are recoverable? I will telephone the liquidators next week and see if they can give any advice. This is such an awful situation for so many people who paid up front in good faith and for believing that they were giving immunisations to their children in the safest way possible. I hope that the people who run Direct Health should hang their heads in shame.

Hi

I am so upset as I have been waiting patiently since May 2009 when DH2000 told me they were still waiting for the mumps vaccine to come in.

They never mentioned going into liquidation even though I have paid for jabs.

This is so wrong - does anyone know if Watchdog or anyone has been made aware of this? - There must be loads of parents who have not been refunded or even made aware of the situation.

Me again!

I have just logged my issues with DH2000 to Watchdog - it may be worth some of you that have also been affected contacting them as well as I'm sure that the more complaintd they get the more they may well look into it for us - I just cannot afford to loose this much money.

Hi
Here is the answer that I got back from the liquidators. I am so annoyed that so many parents were not even informed of this liquidation and we were left waiting in good faith for our children's mumps vaccinations. This cannot be right can it?

Anyhow here is the reply;

Mrs Friend,

Further to your email in connection with the above named company, I confirm that Neil Gibson and Mark Tailby were appointed Joint Liquidators of the company on 15 December 2009. I would advise you that the Joint Liquidators held the final meeting of creditors on 13 December 2010 at which they were granted their release. The company has since been dissolved at Companies House and no dividend was distributed to creditors.

A copy of the Joint Liquidators? final report to creditors is attached for your information.

Kind Regards

Hi all

Thought I'd let you know that I have managed to get my money back from my credit card company for the Mumps jabs that I never got!!!!

It just goes to show it is worth trying to claim it back and that you need to not give up as the credit card company said no initially!!!!
