Peeps round the door and waves hello to everyone, old, new or namechangers

Last time I was on the chat thread we were on thread four, or maybe five! I just can't keep up, but I have joined the ranks of nappy advisors so thought I should keep up with what's hot and what's not.

I'm loving all my pocket nappies at the minute, especially fuzzis (one size and sized) and BGs. I should start using nappies at night otherwise how can I advise people? but am too scared to try it as we have just got bumble (DS2) sleeping all night at 10 months and I really don't want to rock the boat.

I have a pocket question though and was going to start a thread, but thought I'd go for the captive audience ......

Has anyone tried Coolababy one size pocket nappies? Baby Bots are selling them and they are only £5.50 each, including insert . I've ordered one just to try (well it would be rude not to at that price!) but wondered if any of you have tried them already?

LackaDaisycal - I would make a comment on the coolababy but I would be biased .

Now that you are a seller would you like to join the new forum for sellers?

LackaDAISYcal · 03/09/2009 11:27

Just realised that BabyBots is here

Have you always been here and have namechanged to your business name?

I'm in the process of setting up my website, but school holidays then us going away then illnesses have put it all on hold a bit and I'm utterly confused by the whole process and seem to have lost all the stuff I did before..... Must get on with it.

LackaDAISYcal · 03/09/2009 11:29

ooh, cross post. I've just ordered one to try, but I'm sure you wouldn't be selling them if they weren't any good!

I'd love to join the forum. There isn't a link from your website is there?

Babybots · 03/09/2009 11:35

Not been here very long, lurked for a while and still do, but being more active now

Always been here as Babybots

True I would not sell anything I haven't used and liked myself.

You can get to the forum here clothsellers.forumotion.net/

Would be great to have you over there, only a few of us at the moment, all from here.

keedensmummy · 03/09/2009 12:04

Hello, i am quite new here so only been lurking really but wanted to say that I use coolababys for my son who is 7 months old.

I love them. I also boost them as he is such a heavy wetter (I use a folded micro cloth from tesco value range) and he can go about 3-4 hours with the boost. I've been using them since he was 4 months old and they still look at good as new (I was worried they would fall to bits after a few washes because of the price). The only thing I will say is they suggest you wash them no hotter than 40c - I washed my first one (I was trialling) at 60C a few times and all the PUL came away from the outer cover.

I don't use them for night time - I use LL and a wrap.

myjobismum

My local Tesco do them in a pack of 3 for about 89p - make sure you get the value ones though as I think they do a usual range which is more expensive. I was going to sew them into a booster bu8t they actually dry really quickly if you unfold them on the line.

LackaDAISYcal · 03/09/2009 13:03

thanks for that keedensmummy . I'm looking forward to it arriving!

Is there a glossary of terms anywhere for all the nappy abbreviations on this thread? I'm so out of touch that I have no idea what some of you are talking about.....UD????

Have signed up to the forum babybots . Is it just for nappy businesses or for private sellers as well?

Regarding the coolababys, I have 50 Pul ones on the way for my site as I think they are great value. I have 2 and they are good. I do need to boost them but that goes for pretty much all pockets. They make good swim nappies too!

OP posts:
LackaDAISYcal · 03/09/2009 13:30

I have never even heard of those!

LackaDAISYcal · 03/09/2009 13:34

thanks jenny

My two aren't huge wetters, thankfully and I can usually get four hours out of a bumgenius or fuzzibunz, so hopefully I won't need to boost them at all and they will be slim under clothes.

JennyPenny22 · 03/09/2009 13:37

Upsy Daisy have just closed down selling to the public. BUT once they have caught up on all their orders I will have them on my site

OP posts:
TheNattyTheHippy · 03/09/2009 13:49

yes we were all sad to see UD close to the public, and i know they will still have SOME custom slots etc but its not the same.

waves to daisy

im going to try a coolababy, will prob get a bunch of them new on ebay tho as its cheaper (sorry baby bots)

i must say i have fallen in love with my fuzzi OS, i hated it on DD but it fits very well on charlie.

charlie is 2 months old on monday

LackaDAISYcal · 03/09/2009 14:20

I was going to ask you about the one size fuzzi natty and if it was still for sale. I was testing some for M&B and am very impressed, although remembering which set of poppers to use takes a bit of concentration, especially with a wriggly 10 month old!

argh have two snotty grotty ones and they are taking it in turns to be grumpy and miserable, so it has been relentless here. I'm just about to put bumble down for his nap and lo DD is just waking up!

TheNattyTheHippy · 03/09/2009 14:30

my one is the V1 so i only have one set. i may get some more, as i finding microfibre is working better then bamboo for charlie, his tots easyfit are not great on him at all. and i hate velcro so using but hating ellens old BGS

TheNattyTheHippy · 03/09/2009 14:32

that was meant to say one set of poppers lol

Babybots · 03/09/2009 14:36

Thats ok natty I dont mind

TheNattyTheHippy · 03/09/2009 14:37

babybots just thought that ordering from you will be quicker and i wont risk customs.. so i think i may order a few from you. if you'll have me

Babybots · 03/09/2009 15:21

You are welcome anytime

BaronConker · 03/09/2009 16:24

You are right, I do have too many nappies for no more babies - but for some reason DH does NOT think that is a good reason to have any more! He is having the snip a week on Monday! So unless I conceive this week (or sleep with someone else , that's definitely it!
