No it's a different pattern - somehow I lost the one you sent me, but Rusmum kindly sent it back to me at the weekend and I've printed it off now - 20 bloomin' pages long!

It looks a bit complicated but I'm going to give it a go anyway. I may be gone some time, lol.

newspaperdelivery · 02/09/2009 22:07

Ha!
Apparently it isn't complicated, it's just that she talks through everything. Like all the different edging and waist options, in really layman terms. Like I'd have the first clue as knitting patterns appear to me to be written in some alien language.

Need to lanolise our shorties etc again. The long ones had a spot clean of poo and don't seem quite tip top, and the shorties have just been in the wash due to nappy explosions. Used my wooly wash, but it doesn't smell of fruit at all
I reckon nice shampoo might be the way forward.

tree - I will be getting wool wash in stock next week!

I have been working at the pub tonight so haven't managed to do anything nappy related .

Good news is - I will be stocking Cushie tushies! Can wait to order them!

OP posts:
newspaperdelivery · 02/09/2009 23:15

Ooooo Jenny!! Wow it really is under way isn't it!

Have just done 2 cashmere shawls in the wool wash and they do smell a little fruity. Will report back when they are dry. I can't get stains out of one of the blankets though - looks like grey splats of oil. Might have a look in out good housekeeping threads for ideas on stain removal from cashmere. Dont dare go at it with vanish etc.

JennyPenny22 · 02/09/2009 23:48

Tree - do you have a bar of wool wash at all? I find this much better for getting out poo etc from wool. Its easier because you can scrub at the specific spot and get a good foam going on it. AND if they are freshly Lanolised and you don't want to get the whole wooly wet you can just do that spot and keep the rest dry. I usually fill the sink with warm water and a small amount of liquid wool wash, then get the bar out on any marks or stains. With Talias woolies it's the poo and with Elouise its grass, food, mud etc. Haven't found anything that won't come out YET!

newspaperdelivery · 02/09/2009 23:50

No I don't Jenny, will have to invest!Might be good for the stains on the cashmere blanket too!

TheNatty · 02/09/2009 23:51

WOW scotia... they are amazing!

JennyPenny22 · 03/09/2009 00:11

I will have bars on my site too! .

Scotia - they are really lovely! Have you thought about making them to sell? (Nice willing new Nappy seller here if you did )

Morning everyone

Finally managed to get on CNT, i still can't believe my review is in the competition, ive never been a finalist for anything before!!

My dd1 is home today after 4 weeks away, can't wait to see her, my mum said dd1 had a few tears but mainly because she was missing dd3 who hero worships her and follows her everywhere!

Oh fight breaking out must dash...

JennyPenny22 · 03/09/2009 09:42

4 where has DD1 been?

I am currently talking to my lil sis online who is out in Zanzibar. Can't stop crying - she is working in the maternity unit and has saved several babies but has seen loads die. The staff apparently don't bother to save babies if there is anything wrong with them - if they stop breathing the staff just walk away!! They are trying to teach them to save them but apparently they just don't even care!

Ooh, Jenny I can't wait to see your new site! The anticipation is killing me

4, how lovely for your dd, am about her lovely time in the sun - it's pouring with rain here.

BaronConker · 03/09/2009 10:13

I am indeed a finalist! I am hatesjazz!! Please, please someone vote for me, I want a monkey foot bag so much it hurts and have no funds!!

Having said that, obviously best of British to Jenny and 4 too - Great reviews you two...

I've never been on a chat thread on CNT so there's no way anyone from CNT is going to vote for me, my only hope was buddies from this thread but now there are three of us from here in competition!! Yikes.

My two minkis that I bought from CNT when slightly drunk arrived yesterday. They are very lovely - one purple with a yellow crown, and the other blue sheep. I had a size small blue sheep for Jamie when he was a little dot so it's funny seeing him in a ginormous one now he's a great hulking toddler! It's probably cos I'm still a bit poorly (ear infection now spread to chest - how does that happen?!) but I keep welling up about everything, in particular about Jamie being so big and not a baby anymore! Think it's also because usually by the time my baby is one and a half, I'd be planning my next one, and I'm not planning any more babies at all, ever!! Oops, here come the tears again!!

4andnotout · 03/09/2009 10:15

Have sent it from my iphone as pp is playing up on the lappy can you let me know if you get it ok, haven't ever done it from my phone before If it takes the fee's let me know and ill send more

Scotia · 03/09/2009 10:16

Oh Baron, I know how that feels, I was never quite ready to give up on having babies. I had 4 dds with my first husband and never expected to have any more ever - especially since dd1 is now 26! After a crappy divorce, I got remarried and now have 2 ds's.

Ds2 is only 7 months, but I so miss my tiny baby already.

4andnotout · 03/09/2009 10:17

Baron i don't chat on CNT either so the only votes i'll get are from here (and my own!)

newspaperdelivery · 03/09/2009 10:18

at pissed up nappy buying. at end of baby era. No chance a squeezing out a little one.....all those nappies you have....

I'm going to France on Sat. Its 28 degrees. Its pouring here. Fabby do!

4andnotout · 03/09/2009 10:20

I want at least one more baby and sooner rather than later! DD4 will be one next month but i still haven't had a period

4andnotout · 03/09/2009 10:36

DD4 has hundreds of feeds a day and practically all night too sometimes i feel like im completely worn out and fed up with it all but then when im feeding her and she is all snuggly and warm i don't mind again.

Im 27 and have 4, hoping to have finished by the time im 30 mainly as dp will be 45 on sunday so is quite a bit older than me.

TheNatty · 03/09/2009 10:38

im having two more, and have told DH as such. im going to uni next year and when i have finished my degree im having two with an 18month age gap.
DH not agreeing as yet.. but he will. he didnt want charlie, and i got him to agree to it. lol!
far as im concerned its ME that does all the child rearing as DH works very hard and is never here, so whats it to him?

im just baby mad. that will be 5 in total, and i think i may be happy to stop then. mind you i thought that about 3
