Nemo You're good to be taking care of another LO. I always seem to inherit other kids .
Fruit I really think you should try and speak to someone, with or without DL. It'd do you good to have someone listen to you and it would help you to get things sorted in your head. Really hope you feel brighter soon.
Giraffe I agree about the cake - also M&S biscuits. They have two boxes for £6 atm and they are divine!!!!! Have just been watching a DVD by Claire Bryam-Cook on BF and def need to take more care of latch on the right. Hope all goes to plan tomorrow. Lots of piccies, please.
Panda [waves]

Nothing to report here. We went to a 'Carry on Screaming' viewing on An Education this am at the cinema which was enjoyable. J still feeding lots. Took ages to settle last night but then managed four before feeding...I'm not wondering what was so stressful about L as a newborn. I was always afraid to let her cry but can almost sleep through J's.

Panda I really don't think it's a good idea to take Clomid without it being prescribed. I know how desperate you are and believe me, I would have had the same idea.
I think if it's not monitored properly, it can have disastrous effects.
Would you be able to get your doctor to monitor you if you can get hold of it?

PenguinPoo · 21/11/2009 11:47

Mamafox I think that's a lovely idea giving your dd2 a birthday party at the end of November, that way it's stops stingey people buying one present! How's the building work coming along?
Hyena 2lb away from pregnancy weight! Bloody hell
Fruity Hope the party goes alright tonight, sorry to hear you are still having problems with DL
Giraffe Hope the christening goes well today. Maybe all the excitement today will wear N out and you'll get a good night's sleep tonight
Nemo Hope to see you back soon with a full update on T
Panda I've just been looking on t'internet at taking clomid without prescription, there is far more negative than positive stuff unfortunately, maybe like Fruity said you could ask your GP to monitor you whilst taking it, it could be you have no side effects whatsoever and get that magical BFP, but imagine if something went wrong and it buggered up any chances you may have in the future, you'd never forgive yourself. I can understand how desperate you must feel, I'm sure it doesn't help how much our thread has moved on, it must eat away at you everytime you visit us I know it would me x x

Feeling a little less miserable than earlier in the week, thanks for the suggestions, I have watched some Jeremy Vile thanks Hyena love the DNA testing ones! If I potter all day I can watch TV without too much pain in the evenings so will plan little things everyday, Monday is breastfeeding workshop for 3 hours with knitted breasts
Ebay has taken a hammering and I'm going to start washing the baby stuff I have next week. Started to pack my hospital bag today, but then gave up as I've no idea how much stuff to pack for baby as I'll be in for a few ideas Fruity any suggestions would be gratefully rcvd. I'm off to research the c/section threads about bag packing now.
Enjoy your weekend all x

PandaEis · 21/11/2009 11:48

hey fruity the way i see it is i was getting the clomid from the consultant for 3 unmonitored cycles anyway and then having to go back for a follow-up appointment once i finished the last cycle (3 cycles were the recommended amount by the money grabbing consultant) this way is no different to that except i wouldnt have a follow up appointment. for any monitoring (blood tests/us scans etc) i would have to pay a hell of alot more and the consultant didnt think it made a difference to the outcome. the only reason i am considering this route is i know where these have been prescribed from and i know these are the real deal. it isnt a case of feeling so 'desperate' that i will try anything, it is an opportunity to try another avenue which would otherwise be off limits for us.
i dont mean to sound abrupt but i am really trying not to look like/be a baby desperado and it seems that every way i turn i am being called desperate. i am in a lonely boat at the mo ...

PenguinPoo · 21/11/2009 11:51

Oh sht Panda* I'm another one that's just called you "desperate" on our x posts.
Fck sht b*llocks I've really put my foot in it
At the end of the day it's your decision and if you feel it's right for you then do it, I am so sorry if you feel we're not being supportive enough

PandaEis · 21/11/2009 11:55

hey penguin x-posted there you are quite right. it really does hurt to see how far everyone has come and i am still in the same position i was 2 years ago i really do try to be positive but after all this time i think i deserve some progress. it isnt happening for me any other way. it feels like it never will at this rate.

PandaEis · 21/11/2009 12:04

no penguin you have all be a massive source of support for me it is just i can feel myself getting bitter as the days go by and it make me feel worse that i can see everyone starting to label me 'desperate'

PenguinPoo · 21/11/2009 12:09

Just wish there was something I could say or do to make you feel better. I know one thing I can do is never never call you desperate again, promise x

mamafox · 21/11/2009 12:13

I have no idea about taking Clomid un-monitored but if you weren't going to be monitored anyway?? Does the dosage differ for each person? Even though I lost 2 babies I can't say I understand how you feel Panda as I haven't had the struggle to fall pregnant in the first place. Just feel for you so much, no advice, just know I'm thinking of you
Is there no way you can afford any sort of specialist assistance?
On a completely different note, have just spent the last half an hour pricing flights to the UK next year I blame dh, he had a look at work last week, in a bored moment, and then came home and told me. And he's mentioned it several times since I would so love to come back for a trip, think I need to, to get it out of my system as to where I want to live, but it's about a $10k holiday given our entourage.......

PandaEis · 21/11/2009 12:14

penguin i didnt mean to make you feel bad nor you fruity if you are still hanging around i and i havent scared you off i just wanted to be honest so if i manage to get up the duff in the future you wont all be decieved. as i said i dont know whether to take them or not but it is nice to know i have options.

PandaEis · 21/11/2009 12:25

thanks mamafox xx the dose my friend has given me is the standard dose that the consultant suggested, and she has given me 2 cycles worth (10 pills 1 per day for day 5-10 of cycle.) i decided to waiti until next cycle is upon me to decided whether to take them and i was thinking about discussing things with my GP too but up to now i cant get an appointment i am quite scared in case i react bady and then i would have to explain myself to whatever medical professional i see and i would then be lumped into the 'mad woman desperate for a baby' category i should have badges made up...

mamafox · 21/11/2009 21:53

I think that category would be very very full Panda, we have all had a place in there at one point
Seeing what the GP says sounds like a good plan, although they won't be all that supportive of you taking someone else's prescribed drugs.......
Whilst cruising the net I saw a job last night that I might apply for. Not that I want to go back to work until next year, but it's in the industry that I currently work in and it's evenings from 6pm. Not sure of exact hours each week or salary but am curious though. It would free up my days for the children (i.e. reduce daycare costs, be available for school events etc) but I'm assuming it would be around 30hrs a week, so a decent salary.
But of course I can't find my cv, since dh swapped over the hard drives........

Fruitbatlings · 23/11/2009 12:48

Hi ladies, I'm so ill at the moment I feel like I could pass out if I stand up but just wanted too say:
Panda I'm so so so sorry I upset you. That certainly wasn't the plan I'm just worried about you and trying and failing to put myself in your position. I just know how desperate I'd be, I was feeling that way by only 11 months and I would have certainly looked into whatever I could.
I'm truly sorry. Please forgive me?!
I hate upsetting people, it doesn't happen often!

I will get back to you all when I can see properly and it doesn't ache to lift my arm up to the keyboard.
Got loads to tell you about what happened on Sat night - seems I'm not the only one who thinks DL takes the piss out of me

Oh and quickly, Penguin What's going on now? Oh sod it, I'll text you.......

barbie1 · 23/11/2009 15:28

PenguinPoo · 23/11/2009 17:29

Well still here! LO is far too comfy to move so been allowed home after 2nd scan to confirm that placenta has now moved. Going back in tomorrow to be induced been trying to get my head around
a) No longer a c/s
b) It's early
c) I am actually having a baby- still not believing that one!

Impala · 23/11/2009 19:18

Penguin Wow, great news Just think, this time tomorrow you could be holding your LO in your arms, how exciting I hope you've got your bag packed now Seriously, I hope everything goes well and I'll be sending positive labour vibes your way. I hope someone will be on to tell us the news asap as I don't have your mobile no. Thanks to Barbie for letting us know the latest developments.
Fruity Sorry to hear you're feeling so ill - hope it's not SF! Get well soon and do tell us all about Saturday night when you are up to it.
Panda Likewise, I can't even begin to imagine how you feel, all I know is the months between my mc and getting pg again seemed like an eternity so to have that go on for two years is just But please do take care with the Clomid if you decide to go down that road. Hope you manage to see your GP and get a sympathetic response.
All OK here, E had a bit of a pukey afternoon/evening yesterday but is fine today. I think it was liked to her cold which is dragging on rather than a bug but who knows.
Hope everyone else is well xx

hippopotamum · 23/11/2009 20:59

Hyena that is seriously quick weight loss - well done hun but make sure you are eating enough to keep your supply up

Panda so sorry to hear you are so hun. It is great that you stick around as I can only imagine how tough it must be. Having said that as an experienced mum you have always been a fabulous source of info and support to us new mums so we couldn't have done without you. Just be careful with the clomid, hopefully GP is supportive. Am sending you big hugs, won't patronise you with baby dust or similar xx

OMG Penguin one minute you have started packing your hospital bag then a few posts later your waters have gone !!!! I am soooo excited for you my dear - ALL THE BEST and just keep thinking that your little baby will be in your arms in no time - you're my favourite !!

E got his 8th tooth last night so there was a lot of crying and very little sleep zzz....

mamafox · 24/11/2009 04:22

Good luck Penguin, hope baby behaves itself and doesn't take too long
Have you got a cold Fruity, or worse, man flu? Have to laugh at dh now being dl, it's not funny, but kind of is, iykwim
Bloody hot here again today, shouldn't whinge I know but I'm going to, just not a hot weather person anymore. I needed sunglasses and flip flops just to hang out the washing before, the concrete underneath the washing line was too hot to stand on and looking up to peg things it's too bright But yes I do remember never hanging my washing outside in the 11yrs I lived o/s so shouldn't complain.....

Meeeow · 24/11/2009 09:08

wow, i must have been busy have just spent a half hour catching up.

Firstly I just wanted to say to Panda that i don't claim to uderstand your situation and have no knowledge of Clomid but I don't think there would be anything wrong even if you were 'desperate' for a baby, it's not like you're addicted to crack and desperate for a fix, you just want what seems so natural for any woman and i would be completely the same as you. Be careful what ever you choose to do and make sure you make a well informed decision, but i've taken my fair share of dodge stuff in my time so no judging here

I had some bf issues re milk supply last week but have managed to up the supply by sqeezing every last drop out after feeds, much to DH's dismay as i lean stooped over a bottle 5 times a day! but hey, i now have a pair of every morning again unfortunatly 'I' has her 3rd cold in as many months and is off bf so i'm expressing and giving bottle so i don't dry up again, off to a bf clinic this morning to understand the whole process better.

Meeeow · 24/11/2009 09:10

oh and penguin xxx

Hyena · 25/11/2009 19:43

I HAVE SOME NEWS FROM THE LOVELY MR PENGUIN!!!

Penguin was taken to delivery suite after three failed pessaries and they started the syntocin. She requested an epidural but the *%& of anaesthetist managed to position it in her spinal column thus causing a leakage of spinal fluid. Penguin was taken for an emergency section and a little boy was born at (I think) 4ish weighing 7lb 4oz. They've named him Ieuan(sp?) and apparently he looks just like his Daddy. Had a few texts from Penguin and he has to have antibiotics because she tested + for BStrep but otherwise they seem to be doing well.

I still have the heaviest baby although he's not gaining weight as he should be. Other than that we're doing fine.

PandaEis · 25/11/2009 20:13

WWWWWWWWOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!! penguin and mrpenguin i have already said this but massive congrats!! lovely name BTW and cant wait for some pics
