6yo - after 3yo, between 8pm and 8.30pm

nigglewiggle · 15/06/2009 22:30

If your DD is happy and it suits you, then stick with it.

3&4 year olds bed at the same time, between 7.30 and 8

But thinking of bringing it fwd a bit as DD starts reception in September, and normally doesn't wake until gone 8, and we will need to leave at twenty past.

PacificDogwood · 15/06/2009 22:33

15 months - 7-7.30pm
5 and 6 years - 8pm in theory, often 8.30pm

Claire2009 · 15/06/2009 22:34

2.2yo
3.4yo

Both in bed & asleep for 7-7.15pm

Geocentric · 15/06/2009 22:36

My DCs: 6 and almost 5 - between 7.30-8.00
Too late imo but if I try earlier it just turns into a looong and exhausting battle.

clemette · 15/06/2009 22:37

DS 5 years - 7-7.30
Wakes at 7-7.30am

Wonderstuff · 15/06/2009 22:40

My dd aged 19months sometime between 7.30 and 9 Can I also ask who leaves dc's in bed awake and who sits with them till they drift off?

JamesAndTheGiantBanana · 15/06/2009 22:40

My ds 22m normally goes about 9.30pm - 10pm so he gets a couple of hours with his dad who doesn't get home til 7pm. It works for us all as we're night owls, but we'll have to make it a lot earlier when he starts going to nursery etc.

Gingeme · 15/06/2009 22:41

5, 2.6 and 16 months in bed by 7.30 but not always asleep till about 8.15

truthisinthewine · 15/06/2009 22:46

Both DDs (2.7 years and 15 months) are both in bed by 7.30, DD2 often goes to bed a bit before DD1 but sometimes go together.

We never sit with them it's upstairs, tuck into bed, say goodnight and kiss and leave the room, never hear a peep out of them til morning although I know DD1 often looks at books in bed before she drops off.

Cocodrillo · 15/06/2009 22:47

DS nearly 4 months, 6.45pm
DDs1+2, 4.11 and 2.5, by 7.15pm

We used to sit with DD2 till she dropped off, but that had to go when DS came along. She moaned a bit for a few nights, then gave up. The DDs share a room though.

sunburntats · 15/06/2009 22:48

age 5 bed by 7.15, usually asleep by 7.30.

mrsdisorganised · 15/06/2009 22:48

Winter, dd's 8,7,5 and 20 months are in bed at 7.30, dd4 actually is about 6.45pm

Summer is a complete nightmare, on a good night dd4 is down by 7pm and the rest are in bed by 8.30 quietly looking at books till they fall asleep! Bad night (tonight) all awake until 9ish, dd1,dd2,dd4 fell asleep and dd3 is currently sitting next to me cutting out paper! I have given up!

Going to invest in some black out curtains! They all share one room atm, so hopefully once we finish building the extension things will fall into place

Wonderstuff · 15/06/2009 22:49

Right the sitting with dd will stop. I hate her crying when I go [i'm such a wuss] but equally know that I can't do it forever.

yappybluedog · 15/06/2009 22:50

dd is nearly 7, in bed at 8, rarely asleep before 10pm

LastOrders · 15/06/2009 22:50

DS always been put to bed awake and left to get to sleep on his own.

ZipadiSoozi · 15/06/2009 22:53

dts 5.6yo bath 7pm bed 7.30pm

mrsdisorganised · 15/06/2009 22:55

If it makes you feel better Wonderstuff I used to have to wait with my sister, who only fell asleep whilst stroking your face!, and also dd1 who used to 'pinchy' my hands (skin contact again) until they were both around 2 years then it just stopped!
