My DS who is nearly 5 is getting rather curious about certain things and asked me straight out what a ladies privates are called. I really didn't know what to say and just said 'private parts' but he wasn't happy with that!
There are plenty of acceptable words for a boys bits but nothing that quite seems acceptable for a girls, help please!

my daughter came out with peanut when she was about 5, we laughed , but it does look like a peanut

KingRolo · 23/04/2009 14:14

Does it?

ElinorDashwood · 23/04/2009 14:15

I think peanut must be a euphemism for clitoris in this instance.

ElinorDashwood · 23/04/2009 14:15

Or else there is something hideously wrong with my entire genital region.

gardeningmum05 · 23/04/2009 14:17

in i little girl, it does resemble a peanut

differentID · 23/04/2009 14:18

differentID · 23/04/2009 14:23

keels26 · 23/04/2009 14:30

My Mum isnt but I think her Mum (my nan) was irish or part irish. My Mum was born in Newcastle and her Mum grew up there.
