Your challenge should you choose to accept it, is to build the best wooden train track you can, then post a picture on your profile.

The winner's prize...fame and notoriety!

Good luck!

dragonbutter - love the blocks. We used to do exactly the same with magnetic letters. DH and I would send filthy messages to each other - not nudge nudge wink wink filthy - more like 'MrPrudence is a smelly cock'.

Not sure why I just admitted that

Just wanted to say that I wish I'd seen this earlier. I would have joined in.

The winner was great - no dead ends (how did you manage that?)

Interested in this thread?

Then you might like threads about these subjects:

Rats, found this too late!

I'd be up for a Playmobil challenge though sometime after 22nd February would be good as at present it would have to involve a campervan, a velocoraptor(!) and a bin lorry
Much more scope when an ambulance and a vet's surgery are added!!

dearprudence · 05/02/2009 23:04

Mind you, there aren't so many news stories featuring knights these days are there? Unless the Sealed Knot can manage to get themselves in the news.

dragonbutter · 05/02/2009 23:04

maybe i should post these sort of challenges the day before to make sure the late nighters get in on the action too.

Damn - just saw this. I'm too late to enter now... I don't have a profile page anyway DP and DD will be heartbroken too...

(I'll be there next time )

(Spent part of the afternoon building a space-elevator in Duplo for the Happyland people...)

dragonbutter · 06/02/2009 10:59

I've just put some photos of today's track on my profile.

chaotica, you could still join in if you want. we'll ooh and aaah at your genius all the same.

Special challenge for anyone who owns a Leapfrog alphabet caterpillar - see how many swearwords he knows (if you spell one he knows, he giggles and says "ooh that tickles" instead of the last letter sound)

It's a great (adult) party game. So good in fact that I have no idea what the current record is because I was too drunk tired at the time.

SoMuchToBits · 06/02/2009 11:07

Loler, I could never have made a track like that with so few dead ends, but ds is good at that sort of thing!

I like the idea of a Playmobil news story - in fact the other day ds had a "Plane in Hudson River" scenario, with people stood on the wings of his aeroplane, and boats coming to rescue them!

stealthsquiggle · 06/02/2009 11:09

I am sure we could manage "snow causes traffic chaos" - God knows we have enough vehicles for it - and police-people.

SoMuchToBits · 06/02/2009 11:09

Yours is very good dragonbutter - I think you might have won if you'd got your entry in in time!

SoMuchToBits · 06/02/2009 11:10

So have we, stealthsquiggle - we even have a snowman. And lots of fire crew, they might be useful...

stealthsquiggle · 06/02/2009 11:11

Oooh yes, how could I forget the snowman - he was a recent addition as well - DNiece sent him to DS.

SoMuchToBits · 06/02/2009 11:13

Ds had his in his Christmas stocking - and a Father Christmas.

We have several helicopters too - I'm sure they would be useful in a snow rescue. Then the rescued people could be taken to the Playmobil hospital.

stealthsquiggle · 06/02/2009 11:18

No hospital

We could close the airport though. Maybe evacuate everyone by ambulance/rescue helicopter to the gladiator arena?

Unfortunately DS is at school and DD's nursery is unaccountably closed so I am actually failing trying to work and have no Playmobil accomplice.

dragonbutter · 06/02/2009 11:22

Feel free to start another thread for a friday afternoon challenge. I don't own the copyright on them or anything.

my alphabet caterpillar is french. i wonder if it still would work.

OP posts:
dragonbutter · 06/02/2009 11:23

i mean, the children's alphabet caterpillar

OP posts:
stealthsquiggle · 06/02/2009 11:30

dragonbutter you have to try it

SoMuchToBits · 06/02/2009 11:31

lol at evacuating everyone to the gladiator arena! Well, if we ever see a Playmobil challenge, we'll be up for it - ds really enjoyed last night's challenge, and is also Playmobil-mad (just like his Mum!)

SoMuchToBits · 06/02/2009 11:31

We don't have an alphabet caterpillar

stealthsquiggle · 06/02/2009 11:34

The caterpillar challenge is probably definitely not one DS could get involved in SoMuch.

Maybe a half term Playmobil challenge?

SoMuchToBits · 06/02/2009 11:42

Lol stealth! i don't think he knows many rude words!

Half term Playmo challenge sounds good. We will be here most of the time. We will have to try to find an impartial judge though....

dragonbutter · 06/02/2009 11:42

haha my french caterpillar giggled and said something i don't understand when i typed merd.

tee hee.

i can't think of any other swear words though.

OP posts:
dragonbutter · 06/02/2009 11:43

well i don't own any playmobil so maybe i can be a judge?
