Your challenge should you choose to accept it, is to build the best wooden train track you can, then post a picture on your profile.

The winner's prize...fame and notoriety!

Good luck!

slight glitch.
DS has put his away in exchange for some telly watching and i didn't get a picture.
oh nevermind.
i'll be an impartial judge.

SoMuchToBits · 05/02/2009 19:32

I thought you were going to be an impartial judge anyway lol!

dragonbutter · 05/02/2009 19:34

well yes, but i was inspired by my fantastic track building skills earlier this morning.

i can't be the only judge. that's hardly democratic. we'll have to have a vote.

Why don't you invite some other MNetters to be judges? Ones who don't want to build a trainset themselves...

nickschick · 05/02/2009 19:43

I THINK IM THE -CHEATER- WINNER

nickschick · 05/02/2009 19:43

somuchtobits and her ds!

not very democratic i know, but i think we're kind of alone on this thread tbh.
well done mrsgboring, much respect for entering the competition and a big silver medal for you!

SoMuchToBits · 05/02/2009 20:19

Hoorayyyyyyyyyyyyy!!!!!!

Ds is very excited!

SoMuchToBits · 05/02/2009 20:20

(And thank you for keeping ds entertained for a good couple of hours....)

dragonbutter · 05/02/2009 20:23

no worries.
i'll watch out for your names though as i like people who embrace these sorts of challenges.
respect!

it's all kicking off elsewhere on mumsnet right now. so it's nice to have some fun stuff going on too.

nice to meet you.

SoMuchToBits · 05/02/2009 20:26

I'm usually found on any thread that has anything to do with Playmobil too (as you might have guessed from my profile!).

Thanks again for an interesting and fun challenge!

mrsgboring · 05/02/2009 20:32

It was an honour just being nominated.....

I enjoyed it too. Would have done a better job if I hadn't had to break off to arrange a glucose tolerance test. Ick.

dragonbutter · 05/02/2009 21:09

well done ladies.
yes i like your playmobil pictures.
very creative.
have you checked out my building blocks?

guess some people never grow up

OP posts:
mrsgboring · 05/02/2009 21:18

Fabulous blocks.

dearprudence · 05/02/2009 21:58

Oh, buggering fucking sod it!!

I made the track. Was pleased with it. I even let DS help me. Took the photos. Uploaded them to my computer. So far so good...

I didn't have a profile page so had to create one. Have now spent the best part of 2 hours trying to upload my photos to profile. I think the files are too big but I can't work out how to make them smaller.

Anyway, congratulations SoMuchToBits - yours was better than mine, but I did want to prove that I'd joined in.

Any time you want to set a new challenge, I'm in. Perhaps we could re-create a recent news story with playmobil?

SoMuchToBits · 05/02/2009 21:59

Yes, your building blocks are.... errrmmmm.... interesting!

SoMuchToBits · 05/02/2009 22:02

AAAAwwwww...

Actually I had a "file too large" problem, as I let dh take the photo on his posh camera. Fine, but I think the file was too large, and when i came to upload it, he had gone out!

Anyway, I read the blurb, and e-mailed it to myself. I never received the bugger, but managed to save the attachment from my sent message (which was by then reduced in size) and uploaded it from there!

I'd love to see your effort though!

SoMuchToBits · 05/02/2009 22:07

News story with Playmobil sounds good too!

dragonbutter · 05/02/2009 22:18

i like your profile dearprudence.

i genuinely made that block thing when playing with the blocks with the kids. i wasn't particularly enjoying it at the time and it says a lot about my attitude to parenting.

i won't get away with that sort of thing once they can read.

OP posts:
dearprudence · 05/02/2009 22:31

Nope. I've emailed them to myself but they're still massive.
