I know you don't, but I've just had my hip young neice to visit and God I feel old

Should I give up now?

Just think of all the horrors of life she still has to endure. That should cheer you up a bit, lol.

i'm not a frump. never have been. don't plan on being.

never been fat, either.

pudding25 · 15/09/2008 21:11

Actually, my arse is probably the only part of me that has survived after pregnancy. I would go for a fat everything else frump instead. I am too tired to care...

I have worn lipstick every day since ds was born and straightened my hair

There is no excuse - it's all about priorities

greenandpleasant · 15/09/2008 22:01

yes, it's mandatory. don't care. I'm making the most of my frump status and using it as an excuse to eat more chocolate.

castille · 15/09/2008 22:04

I'm not fat or much of a frump

But when our tall, glamorous 17yo babysitter arrives, I feel like both, with an extra dollop of ancient.

anyfucker · 15/09/2008 22:07

no you do not

I look better now than I did in the 1980's ( kid you not !)

hellymelly · 15/09/2008 22:09

ha ha sobernow. It was my wedding anniversary recently and i look at the pics with amazement-five years later I have two children but although slim again I am doughy and my legs are like a road map.Breasts are bouyed up by milk at the mo but will be like two pittas on a plate when I stop.Tummy has freakish jutting roll of podge above section scar.I have red lipstick on,but most days I look like vera drake.

Gobbledigook · 15/09/2008 22:09

I'm neither fat nor frumpy. Don't intend to get that way either!

ipodtherforipoor · 15/09/2008 22:10

it sure makes life easier!

lilolilmanchester · 15/09/2008 22:34

I never used to be and never intended to be but somehow it just happened

Gobbledigook · 16/09/2008 08:10

lilo!! YOu are neither!

Gobbledigook · 16/09/2008 08:10

But I heard you got 'hop-a-long' drunk at the weekend!

theressomethingaboutmarie · 16/09/2008 08:13

I actually put make up on after I had had DD and both mornings that I stayed in the hospital. I had requested not to have visitors so early on so didn't do it for them - I did it for me.

I do my hair and wear make up every day (not lots, I'm very fair so I need to wear mascara and eye brow pencil so as not to look odd!) and try to look half decent.

chelsygirl · 16/09/2008 08:23

I know I should make more of an effort, God knows I need it!

I used to wear make up for "others", now I need to wear it for me

[dunks 3rd chocolate biscuit in tea and glances down at fat thighs clad in jogging bottoms].

Yep!

lilolilmanchester · 16/09/2008 17:34

you obviously haven't seen me for a while GDG!! Yes, I am embarrassed and ashamed of my performance at the weekend

Gobbledigook · 16/09/2008 18:23

Ha ha - sounds like you had a fab time!
