how many people have had 2 sons and then a daughter??

I am pregnant with baby number 3, 2 ds's so far and we'd love a daughter (won't be at all dissapointed if its a boy either). now i'm not thick i know the chances are 50-50 but just wondered how many people have had a daughter after 2 boys, because i don't know any!

Pregnant with third boy so no luck here.. but on this topic I have heard lots of discussions that if your first two children are the same sex your chances are not in fact 50/50. That conception is not just like flipping a coin. The theory I have heard explained is that your partner is probably producing more of one sex sperm than the other and that your womb environment is more receptive to one gender sperm as opposed to the other (something to do with the acidic vs. alkali content of your internal biochem) now obviously that does not mean that you can't have a different gendered child (who hasn't heard of those that get a girl or a boy on the seventh child) but that the 50/50 odds aren't quite true.

One here ! I had two boys then a daughter - all about 22 months apart. Pregnancy with girl very different - very very sick.

No more for me - dh just had the snip!

My sis had two boys and then a girl.... She was so happy to finally be allowed to buy pink!!

I had two boys and then a girl. I know of a few other families who followed a similar pattern too.

2 sets of friends i know went for no 3 to get a girl and got one. another just found out she is having a boy after 2 girls. i also know of 2 sets of friends of my generation who are girls after 2 boys. so it can happen. i have also heard chances of conceiving opposite sex baby is not 50/50 third time if previuos two have been same sex....

I haven't (four girls here!) but one of the mums at school had 2 boys then a girl and another mum had 3 boys and recently gave birth to girl. I also know of someone else who had a girl after 4 boys!

my in laws had two boys then a girl, all 3 years apart. I have twin boys and pregs with dc3, secretly hoping for a girl, but not REALLY bothered either way.

yay, don't want to get my hopes up at all, had heard that you're more likely to have boys if you've already got two. so very reassured that i have a chance.
but everything about this pregnancy feels different. we'll see in 30 weeks time

My cousin had two boys and then a girl. I also have a couple of friends who have two boys or two girls and then one of the other sex.

Me - 2 sons then a daughter

then a son and then 6 daughters.

I thought dd1 was a fluke and would have continued to think that if I'd stopped at 4.

my Dh has had 3 boys in a row...

I was a bit gutted when my last one was a boy as I secretly wanted a girl loads,

if I had my time again I would have found out at the scan as I got a bit of PND partly because of this (I now love him loads and am so glad we don't have that much pink in this house!)
