Can someone recommend a hoover that actually hoovers?!

As you can probably tell, I'm tired of buying expensive hoovers that dot. Last longer than a year or 2. We have a family and I need something robust that won't break the bank. Oh and also recommendations for steam mops much appreciated!

You're making me feel really sad about killing my old Miele...

Mumaway · 27/09/2023 20:52

Definitely Henry. Easy to maintain, spare parts available if you do drop it down the stairs and try to stop it by yanking on the hose .....

Miele all the way. My mum has a Henry, and I've just come back from an Airbnb that had one. They were both hopeless. Not good at picking things up, and don't follow smoothly.

My Miele is about 15 years old, and just as good as it ever was. And the same model is still going. They don't mess about with something that works so well. I'm pretty sure that Which? magazine also says they're the best.

Another vote for Henry. Best hoover I've ever had.

MIELE C3 FOREVER excuse the shouting but I am very passionate about my vacuum cleaner😀

Agree 101%! All this Henry shit! I had one in a job once and it spent most of the time falling over, it was completely top heavy, filthy dirty to empty, have to hand wind the cable, bulky, takes up loads of space and it grins insanely at at you. They are seriously bad. Oh, and they don't fit on a stair when you're vacuuming stairs...🙄🙄🙄🙄🙄 GET MIELE!

My Miele c3 has just died on me so I'm gritting my teeth at all these posts saying they last forever.

Had it since about 2004 but it hasn't been great for the last five years or so. And it was always awkward on the stairs.
