look in his red book, that will show yoi which percetile line he is on. Or google height charts 🤷🏼♀️

I keep getting told he's tiny! I'm 5.3 and dad is 5.6 so he was never going to be huge !

Based on your update, I’d say he’s going to be small like his parents. Any height is fine, you are what you are! I do feel for you though because there is definitely an “acceptable” height range and if you don’t fall into that you get comments constantly. Both my kids were average height growing up so I never got any comments - now my son is one of the smallest 14 year olds and BOY do we get told! He cannot control his height and by god it brings him down. I shut it down by saying “His dad and I are both 5’9” so he’s likely to end up as us. How’s things going your end, been up to much?”

It is definitely on the smaller side and I totally feel for you. I have a DS who is on the bottom end of the centile charts and the comments get very draining.
It frustrates me greatly that it's fine for a girl to be short and yet for a boy it's seen as something to comment on negatively constantly. It's not like he can change how tall he is so I don't get why people so often need to bring it up.

It's annoying that everyone has to comment. I'm sure he will be petite as you both are. We have the opposite issue, my son is taller than this at 3 and we get endless comments too

I get it. We have two tiny children and people feel the need to comment on it constantly. Luckily my son is too young (5) to really be offended by it but I dread the future. Some people asked if I had put them on diets?

i get told my children are very tall but in fact 2 are average, 1 dd is 6ft 2in so tall for a woman and 13 year old tall at the moment. Me and their dad are average height. At end of day someone has to be tallest/shortest in the year. If he’s happy I wouldn’t worry about, once teenager I believe they can give steroids to help with growth

Some people asked if I had put them on diets?
Mines nearly 3 and a women at the park genuinely once asked if I kept him small as he was an only child and I didn't want him to grow up. 
I too am dreading him growing up and actually understanding the comments that are made about him.

My daughter is also taller than this at 3 and yes the comments are constant. I really don't want her to grow up with any kind of complex.

I agree, it is frustrating to no end and my son is on 50% percentile!! Somehow he’s the second shortest on the class. His friend a year younger and a head taller than him. While I know that there’s nothing wrong with my child, I’m tired to hear how being tall is literally almost praised in boys, even by grown ups. I feel for men being judged by something they can’t change.

DS was 2nd centile persistently.
As a rough guide to how tall your DS might be, I’m 5’1 and DH is 5’6. DS as an adult is now 5’7 (and has never had a problem with his height either in the sports he plays or attracting a partner!)

My very petite son had a growth spurt at 14 and is now 5' 10" as an adult. I was forever being told how small he was as a child but he is on par with most of his friends now.

There is your answer then. If you took a random sample of 100 kids his age you would expect 75 to be taller than him and 25 to be smaller than him.
So no he's not as tiny as some but certainly not as tall as quite a lot.
He is what he is no point worrying about it he is on the chart and based on his parents height seems to be in about the right place.

If you Google it, he’s average height for his age. However, your DH is very small for a man so your ds will also be small as an adult (unless he has tall grandparents). My mum is smaller than you and my dad is over 6 foot. I’m 5’2” but my brother is nearly a foot taller than me. Genetics are weird.

It's not tiny but it is shorter than approximately 75% of his same aged male peers so unfortunately he will often be the shortest.
Unfortunately for boys it seems to be fair game to comment on their size if they are short. I'd wager in about 90% of conversations with new people my sons size is brought up withing the first few minutes. It's maddening but sadly seems to be fair game.

How tall are your ds’s paternal grandparents? I do think your ds will probably be the same height as your dh considering you are both short. Then again, like I said in a previous comment, my dad is very tall (as are his parents) and I am not tall.

It’s not just boys - my daughter was 101cm at 5 and small framed and we got/ get constant comments. Including from the nurse at her asthma check up, until she clocked my height. (I’m 5’0, husband is 5’7, she was never going to be tall.) Apparently tall is good for some reason. Luckily DD hasn’t picked up on this yet.
