We have a 15mo...really not sure what to do for the best. What are you going to be doing during the peak heat? What's your plan?!

Do what they have always done in Mediterranean counties (before AC). Stay in and keep the house dark. Use fans and rest. Lots of water. Even in the shade the air temp will be high.
Put on the tv and relax.

Staying home, shut all windows, doors and curtains. We have a south facing patio which has got up to 50+ degrees on hot days in the past, so heaven knows how hot its going to be next week. I have bought a couple of rolls of kitchen foil and plan to stick it up with water on the patio doors and back windows to shade the worst of the sun off. Will probably make us look like we're growing weed, but I don't care!

I couldn't bare to even sit in the garden with my 6m old, we have v little shade. The paddling pool got put in the living room and it was a godsend. There was alot more TV/youtube than I'd like but you gotta do what keeps you sane safe!

which is great, unless you’re a delivery driver/postal worker/construction worker/hospitality staff, etc. and are required to work.
