Pennies · 15/01/2008 19:11

tardiontla - is that the new Spanish mogellers must have designer kids' label?

dooley1 · 15/01/2008 19:20

ha, cod most of your threads are the smuggest of the smug... if you don't wear makeup everyday you are a slattern (unlike me) , if you are wearing such and such you are not with it (unlike me), if you have a masssoooive age gap or an only child you are wrong (unlike me) and so on and such forth........

PaulaYatesBiggestFan · 15/01/2008 20:11

oooh dooley you are braver than most lol!

PaulaYatesBiggestFan · 15/01/2008 20:12

i'm having nutella spread on McVitie's digestive biscuits. mmmm.

PaulaYatesBiggestFan · 15/01/2008 20:20

mmmmmm i like butter on mine my kids think it's vile

NorthernLurker · 15/01/2008 20:29

I'm too lazy to spread things on biscuits - I just buy mine ready loaded as it were

JodieG1 · 15/01/2008 21:17

I can't stand nutella, don't like most nuts except peanuts. I crave them and have done for 2 years now, was pregnant and now still breastfeeding. Oh how I want some peanuts.

At Christmas others were eating them and all I could do was smell them. Allergies in the family so have to avoid. Dd and I have asthma and hayfever, all dc's and I have penicillin allergy (not sure that counts though) and ds2 has egg allergy.

dooley1 · 16/01/2008 08:47

maybe I am a smug slattern

saff · 16/01/2008 14:38

this thread is soooo funny for all that missed the original thread and icods comments that one is even better is it little britan maybe we should all get prams and ladies clothes and push our pramulators dpwn the road as ladies do (chortle) you are a wicked girl icod and you talk funny but i like you. may change name to icodno1fan what do you think?

orangina · 16/01/2008 14:45

a bit creepy saff

brimfull · 16/01/2008 14:49

saff you've changed your tune

bossykate · 16/01/2008 14:52

that strict/laid back thread! urrgghh!

i don't know which is more of an irritating smugfest - the "i'm so strict my children are so well behaved because i have rules, rules i tell you" martinets or "my children are so beautifully behaved because i never tell them off and i live in a midden" slatterns.

yuk, yuk, yuk

Domesticgodless · 16/01/2008 14:55

on the whole I am more annoyed by attachment-parent type smugness

the whole 'I strapped my baby to my body for 3 years so I could respond sensitively to her every need 24h per day' thing ( I get a lot of that from work colleagues)

but the 'my kids have got better restaurant voices than yours' got to me too I have to say

ds1's restaurant voice is the same as all his other voices, and could probably shatter the wineglasses

LoveAngel · 16/01/2008 14:57

Nothing wrong with a bit of smugness...balances out the self pity (runs for cover)

mylittlepudding · 16/01/2008 14:59

I am not smug today either, everything I touch goes to pieces - though we do have tooth #6, can I be smug about that?!

'My child was ready to read at 13 months and was held back' type threads do it for me.

chrissnow · 16/01/2008 15:02

I'm smug that (i think) I made cod laugh on another thread. (it was at me rather than with me, but still!!)

GetOrfMoiLand · 16/01/2008 15:08

lol at 'restaurant voices'

have a rl friend who is proud that her son orders mussels in a restaurant. She thinksit's sophisticated (pronounced in a Lorraine Chase voice)
