Theawkwardblonde · 14/06/2022 11:17

Hey hope you're all okay! Been reading everyone's updates which are lovely ☺️
We've had a bad few weeks. Baby S is great and 5 months now. However we found out I was pregnant (totally unexpected) , but I've had another early loss (had 3 pre baby, so that's 4 now) so been feeling a bit fragile these last few weeks. Just makes me realise how lucky I am to have baby S.

Curlymam88 · 14/06/2022 13:28

So sorry to hear about your loss @Theawkwardblonde I'm glad Seth is doing well though. 🤗

@Theawkwardblonde I'm so sorry, that's just horrible, and to have already been through it 3 times makes it even worse. I guess you're probably hugging Seth that little bit tighter at the moment 😔 If there's a positive to it though at least you were able to fall pregnant very quickly so I'm sure it won't take long for it to happen when you're ready to try again and I'm sure you'll have better luck. Take care of yourself x

2020mission · 14/06/2022 20:21

Sorry I've been bad at keeping up here. @Theawkwardblonde I'm so sorry to hear that this is what I fear as I had 2 chemicals (both at 6 weeks) before having Matthew. Keep reminding yourself S is here and so it's absolutely possible for your next one to stick. Life is so cruel at times! On another note and to lighten the mood... I'm pretty sure S is a little girl and not Seth? 😂

Matthew rolls from front to back but not quite sitting himself yet. I can let go in certain positions but he soon starts to keel over!

@jadey1991 aww Josiah is loving that big bed isn't he so cute! Hope he's feeling 100% again soon.

@Curlymam88 thats brilliant that Leola is sitting and standing already 😃

Is it bad that there's part of me happy Matthew isn't progressing too fast 😅 I'm going to miss the little baby stage. Oh he is doing these terrifying throaty demon noises lately though! If I could share a video I would

burtle4 · 14/06/2022 21:34

@2020mission haha, I was just following on from what @jadey1991 called S, probably should have scrolled back to find out 😂 sorry @Theawkwardblonde!

jadey1991 · 14/06/2022 22:09

@2020mission aww is he... Josiah isn't rolling yet but sits by himself tho.

OP posts:
jadey1991 · 14/06/2022 22:09

@burtle4 I was going by what @Curlymam88 called baby s... if I got it wrong I'm sorry. I'm sure we have a baby Seth on here.

OP posts:
jadey1991 · 14/06/2022 22:12

@2020mission Josiah isn't too bad hun. Still has a cough and wheezing. But I suppose he will get better in time. Apparently a lot of babies and toddlers are getting bronchitis now. My 2 weeks old niece is in hospital with it now and she has tubes up her nose and is on iv fluids... quite upset to be honest because she is so tiny and her poor body is working so hard... my sister and I don't know how she got it tho because no1 in her household is ill and I have t seen my sister because Josiah has been ill.

OP posts:
Curlymam88 · 15/06/2022 06:56

Apologies if I got S name wrong...im sure babys name was Seth.
@jadey1991 its horrible seeing the babies with all the iv lines and tubes. Leola had them when she was first born she was in the baby care unit for a while because her sugars were dropping, she was on iv and had feeding tube. Its really upsetting. But theyre in great care there, I hope your neice gets better soon xx

Curlymam88 · 15/06/2022 07:07

@Decadesbcun babys name is seth....what does S stand for? So curious now. Sorry I got babys name wrong.

Theawkwardblonde · 15/06/2022 07:13

Hey everyone. Thanks for the well wishes. I'm no stranger to losses so just taking this on the chin.
No little one isn't Seth 😂 she's a girl. I don't think I've posted her name just due to me keeping anonymous and knowing lots of people on mumsnet 😂

Curlymam88 · 15/06/2022 07:22

@Theawkwardblonde hope you're doing ok. I've just gone through the messages and see you did post her lovely name once. But I won't say it now you've posted that.

Theawkwardblonde · 15/06/2022 07:34

@Curlymam88 thanks! Couldn't remember if I had posted it at some point 😂. I try and keep an air of anonymity about myself, due to what I said before and also my job.
Baby S isn't rolling over yet despite being 5 months. She kind of did it once but hasn't done it since. She just seems content on her back.
We started weaning and it's helped her going to the toilet loads. She was going only once a week which gp said was fine but it was causing her loads of pain. It's now daily and has made her so happy! We don't have a HV anymore as they left so no idea if she's developing okay, weight on track etc.

Curlymam88 · 15/06/2022 07:42

@Theawkwardblonde no problem. Same as Leola shes really not a fan of being on her front. I guve Leola cool boiled water in a sucky cup which I believe helps them with going to poo. Also, if they have fruit i guess that helps too. I tried baby with fresh mango yesterday, she absolurely loved it.

jadey1991 · 15/06/2022 10:36

@Curlymam88 thanks hun. It is scary isn't it. My niece has now been transferred to queens hospital where they specialise in babies. She is only 2 weeks old so sad. I'm glad that leola made a full recovery tho.

jadey1991 · 15/06/2022 10:55

@Theawkwardblonde oh I'm so sorry hun, naughty me. I understand where your coming from with anonymity.. I'm glad baby s is doing well. Omg I must of missed when you said her name. Oh well never mind the main thing is she is ok. Don't worry I think I've said it so many times about Josiah not rolling yet. He was also like that( not going poo) every day it was pretty much once a week. Now it's probs twice a week now. Same here with HV we got discharged when Josiah was about 8 weeks old. So I'm not sure what his weight is now. But just looking at him I know he is ok

jadey1991 · 15/06/2022 10:56

@Curlymam88 aww bless her I should try Josiah on fresh fruit too. I mean I've given him mashed banana but that's all.

Who is still breastfeeding!?

Theakwardblobde - My heart goes out to you …… I can’t imagine how it must be but like everyone on this site has said to you be strong be positive and with baby ‘S’ in your arms every day focus on the miracle you have 💖(notice a pink heart girl baby!) My Jack still remains as cute as ever only vegetable he seems to like his sweet corn & has poop to match! Jack has no interest in being on his tummy cannot sit up unaided either but his smiles & giggles make up for all of that - did I ever mention he is confirmed deaf in one ear but pediatricians believe he will still talk normal, maybe a little delayed but all our babies reach their milestones at different rates anyway & all get there in the end right! It’s been super hot here in Florida lately just got back for a walk now chilling in a cool bath ………
Take care ladies keep posting! 👍🏻

@jadey1991 I'm still breastfeeding although always have given at least 1 formula bottle top up a day too and 2 other bottles of expressed milk (my husband gives those). Just been too scared not to see some milk going into him after his slow weight gain and my supply issues at the start. I'm thinking of stopping soon but will only cut some of the day feeds initially as the night breastfeeding is a life saver as it's just so quick to get him back to by popping him on me 😅 how is it going for you?

@JW2021 sorry to hear about his fear ear but it's great that one is fine I'm sure he'll be fine. I had a friend at school that was deaf in one ear and she was absolutely fine. He looks so cute loving the wee outside bath 🛁

Yeah @Theawkwardblonde I remember your girl's name but I stuck with S since you want to keep anonymous and with your job sector. I'm assuming you're 👮‍♀️ 😅

2020mission · 15/06/2022 16:11

@JW2021 deaf ear... sorry my phone autocorrected!

jadey1991 · 15/06/2022 16:57

@JW2021 aww no I don't think you did mention that hun. Sorry to hear that I'm sure he will be fine. He is a little cutie love him
💙💙yes weather in east London is very hot. Not sure about everyone else.

@2020mission I'm still breastfeeding but I want to stop because I don't want Josiah to be like my youngest daughter.( I breastfed her till she was 3 years old)

OP posts:
2020mission · 15/06/2022 17:40

@jadey1991 that must have been hard going keeping it up for 3 years, well done! How are you thinking of stopping... gradually reducing breast feeds or all bottles and just some expressing to ease off?
