@jadey1991 shes almost 8 months. She was born 3rd December. I've started buying for Xmas and birthdays already. Both my girls were born in December 🙈
@burtle4 he looks lovely all dressed for the wedding. Leola is the same with my food, anything I have she wants some of it. She took pizza off my plate the other evening 🤣

jadey1991 · 01/08/2022 10:40

@burtle4 congratulations to your brother Dexter looks so adorable...
@Curlymam88 I get so confused with all the dates, from when Josiah was born to now it will make him 32 weeks... I think because there is 5 week months, aww bless you I haven't started with all that. Is my daughters 8th birthday tomorrow

OP posts:
Curlymam88 · 01/08/2022 11:04

@jadey1991 I work it out as the 3rd of every month is another month she is. So 3rd July she was 7 months, 3rd August she'll be 8 months. If you get me? But she's just over 34 weeks. Oh lovely, I hope your daughter has a lovely birthday. Happy Birthday to her ❤️

@jadey1991 3 teeth already? Matthew hasn't got a single tooth at 7 months. Is it safe to continue breast feed with teeth 😆 that expression is brilliant... "what are you doing now mum?"! haha so cute

@JW2021 I love Jack's little breakfast themed baby grow! He's getting so big

Sorry I've been bad at keeping up here due to house hunting, job interviews and a no daytime napping baby. Hopefully things will calm down soon.

Oh also... someone gifted Matthew a new toy and I just can't not see it as something else... am I right? 😂 here's a photo of him putting his feed up at the weekend after a busy week

2020mission · 01/08/2022 11:41

@Curlymam88 same, I count a month as the 27th of each month since he was born on 27th December. Much easier than counting weeks 😅

2020mission · 01/08/2022 11:43

@burtle4 😆 that's good he likes his salad! Matthew will chomp at some broccoli (I think using it as a teething toy mostly!) but isn't a fan of much else green

jadey1991 · 01/08/2022 11:55

@2020mission omg Matthew is so cute bless him... he looks so happy. Love his expression... yes Josiah has some many facial expressions... yes hun breast feeding is still safe. They might bite down on your nipple but I get use to it. I breastfed my middle daughter till she was 3🤦🏽‍♀️ it actually traumatised me to be honest. Josiah is only have breast about 3-4 times a day now.

Omg that toy, I just have an image in my head 🤦🏽‍♀️🤦🏽‍♀️🤣🤣🤣🤣if you get what u mean... loool.... what does the toy do x

burtle4 · 01/08/2022 12:23

Dexter has 3 teeth as well, all on the bottom row, and I'm still feeding him twice a day, once before bed and once when he wakes up. He's bitten me a couple of times and it hurts but I've now learnt when he's about to do it. I think he knows it's naughty and gets a reaction so I know that when he stops drinking and pauses with a naughty look in his eye he's about to do it so I quickly pull him off 😂

JW2021 · 01/08/2022 12:38

Jezz what on earth does that toy do? Are there rings to stack on it perhaps? Funny how all our ‘Mom minds’ work right! 🤣
this is Jack relaxing watching Baby Shark - typical male - leg up!

jadey1991 · 01/08/2022 14:21

@burtle4 aww bless him. Yes Josiah has 2 at the bottom and 2 at the top coming through. Josiah had a temp of 38.5 for 12 hours and I didn't know why. Then I realised why...

jadey1991 · 01/08/2022 14:22

Hey everyone, sorry been so quiet. Been struggling a bit lately.
S is going through a bit of phase of not wanting to take his bottle and he also wants to be so independent, he doesn’t want to cuddle much anymore and I put him in bed and he just rolls over and goes to sleep which I’ve really been struggling with. He will only take a bottle really at night time for a dream feed and this is the only time he really lets me hold him for a cuddle.
He will take milk in the day from his sippy cup because he can do that himself. I feel really redundant and really quite sad about it all.
We are also struggling a bit with weaning as he doesn’t seem to like anything I give him. We have been doing a combination of baby led and purée and he just seems to hate the texture of food. I’m so worried that these are early signs of autism or some kind of sensory disorder, I just can’t shake it off.

Hope everyone is getting on ok. Love seeing everyone’s pictures

jadey1991 · 08/08/2022 00:57

@Decadesbcun hi hun hope you are ok. I wouldn't worry about the milk feeding too much hun I think it's normal. Josiah is the same. He will only drink when he is really tired.. I do feed him his food throughout the day l. If are you really worried try speaking with the doctor. But more then likely they will say baby will grow out of it. However is baby s teething? That might be another reason as I had that with Josiah

Have you tried finger foods?

jadey1991 · 08/08/2022 00:58

burtle4 · 08/08/2022 08:38

Hi @Decadesbcun , please try not to worry too much although I know that's a lot easier said than done! If being on my third child has taught me anything it's that they're all wildly different and they often go through phases of things that don't last but make you worry nonetheless that it's a behaviour trait that's going to last forever! 8 months is prime time for them to understand that they are their own person and while some babies hate that they realise they are a separate being to mum, others love it. It really is all just a phase of learning so try not to read too much into it at this young age. He'll come back around to realising how much he needs you!
@tashx I've got to start work again next month and really not looking forward to it, can't believe how quickly 9 months has gone! Dex still isn't moving either although he's definitely mastered sitting up now. Are anyone else's babies on the move? Oh, and he said mama on Saturday although hasn't been able to do it again 😂

Theawkwardblonde · 08/08/2022 18:22

So many updates! Lovely to read them all ☺️

@Decadesbcun we've had similar with our baby S. She went through a few weeks where she was refusing bottles apart from her last feed. I never get cuddles from her now either. Perhaps you just don't have a cuddly baby? I apparently wasn't very cuddly so think S is taking after me. She's very independent too and likes doing stuff on her own. We have two teeth, and very nearly crawling which is exciting. She's not quite mastered how to use her hands but is deffo nearly there.
I'm in full on sickness mode with pregnancy. Had an early scan last week and all well so fingers crossed all will be fine at the 12 weeks 🤞🏻

Decadesbcun · 08/08/2022 23:23

Thank you all, I know I am probably getting worked up about nothing. Bloody anxiety!

Typically he has taken most of his feeds today from his bottle and 1 from the sippy cup. He also ate the most I’ve seen him eat in one sitting today too. He had 3 baby melty sticks, 2 cucumber sticks, 1/4 chicken sausage and apple and mango purée. So proud! Haha

He is definitely teething, we already have 2 bottom teeth but I feel the top ones under his gums and he wants to bite everything he can get his hands on.

He is almost on the move, he’s progressed the last few days from pushing himself backwards to move around to getting up on his knees and rocking back and forth so I don’t think it’ll be long. He also sits really well independently (with the odd tumble) and plays independently at times too.
He loves remote controls, his drum and stealing food off my plate 🤣

jadey1991 · 16/08/2022 19:47

Hello my lovely ladies how are you all doing?
Update from me.. Josiah now has 6 teeth. He is learning to crawl. He mainly goes backwards. He has gone forwards twice... he loves standing on his own... he loves sorting up on his own to... he loves all of his foods. You can or anything in front of him and he will eat it. Hope everyone is ok and you little ones are well xx

OP posts:
burtle4 · 16/08/2022 22:37

Hello! Wow, six teeth already, Dex still has three but they're pretty good at biting! He also loves his food and will pretty much eat anything you give him. The only thing I've worked out he's not too keen on is mashed potato, think it's the texture making him gag 😅
Love that Josiah is starting to crawl and standing. Dexter loves standing but can only do it whilst being held as is very wobbly. He's trying really hard to crawl so I don't think it will be long before he works it out 🥰
The best thing is that he's started sleeping through, put him down around 7, give him a dream feed when I go up to bed and then I normally see him again between 6 and 7 - finally getting some sleep again, long may it last! The newborn days seem so far away already...

JW2021 · 16/08/2022 22:54

Jadey 6 teeth already that’s crazy-! you are so lucky Jack is showing signs at all dribbling maybe but that’s about it no teeth to date did have a scare though at the weekend. Jack seemed to be very lethargic and off his food so we took him to the ER Only to find he has Covid! I’ve been doing Tylenol and Motrin every three hours temperature is down now back eating and seems pretty normal poor baby has to have another Covid test on Friday to confirm negativity wish him luck can’t imagine where he got it from hasn’t even started daycare yet? Anyone else have any stories to share? Well only the ones that would put my mind at rest of course! This is him today……
