When does this get better? :(

I have a 6 month old. It's relentless. She doesn't sleep. She takes up every waking moment of the day and night. Me and her Dad do nothing but argue. We never have time for us anymore, barely have a conversation unless it's a "handover" of what the baby needs. We have no support around us. I feel so trapped I just want to run away. I miss our old life so much. Is it normal to feel like I've ruined my life by having a baby?! I love her so, so much - honestly. But my god I am miserable. Is this normal? ☹️

@AnabelBaby

They’re not babies for three and a half years though are they, it sounds like your health issues have caused you to see things in a more negative way than most. The OP hasn’t said anything about suffering mental ill health.

Where did I say they were babies for three years? I answered the question of when do I think parenting gets easier. I'm allowed to answer with my opinion.

You said “not every baby is an easy one” to back up your previous post where you said it didn’t get any easier till your child was 3.5. I was just trying to point out that you cannot compare parenting a 6 month old to a 3 year old. Most 6 month olds are totally dependent on you, may not be sleeping properly, not mobile etc etc. Most three year old are toilet trained, will eat the food you give them and hold a conversation. You may have found that stage hard but if someone is asking when things change it seems odd to merge all those stages of development into one lump.
