Parents who are abrupt 'could be neglectful'

"A big children’s charity has warned that parents who are abrupt with their children and choose low-key celebrations may be guilty of “mild neglect”."

Looks like NSPCC are big into celebrations:

www.nspcc.org.uk/support-us/ways-to-give/weddings-birthdays-celebrations/

"Tailor your event with our favours, gift cards and children’s gifts. It’s an easy way to make a big difference and share with your guests that helping children is important to you. Whether it’s your wedding, anniversary celebration or birthday, personalise your event with us."

@Tilltheend99

I’m not sure how them selling wedding favours to raise money to prevent child neglect is connected to them saying abrupt parents who don’t celebrate a child’s birthday are being mildly neglectful.

I would read the full article it it’s behind a pay wall.

I did not state or imply that there is a connection.

Ironic though, given that this charity raises funds through selling party and "celebration" stuff.

Probably written by someone who never got the princess party they wanted
With kids by the time you decorate, the room you started needs doing again
Parties you do what you can , some kids don't even like parties .
They want to concentrate on actually getting help for those kids who really do suffer and need their help who seem to be let down badly by the system quite often

I lost any faith in the ncpcc's capacity to think with any common sense after all this nonsense.

And lack of ironing is a concern, really?

From the above link an NSPCC spokesperson “it’s a sensitive matter and we won’t be commenting further”. Says it all really
