If money, space etc wasn’t an issue how many children would you have?

I totally understand now I’ve got ds how the Radfords etc happen Blush

Just been sorting through his baby things and already things don’t fit ... probably never be worn again. And he looks so tiny on newborn pics!

I’d want four but think it’ll be one or two. Desperately hoping for two. How about you?

I would say 3.

BumpLoading · 28/03/2021 20:28

If money / space wasn't an issue I would love 6 or 7 Blush
Am due number 2, and realistically think I'll have to stop at 3 or 4

Still just 1

I have 3. If we had unlimited money and space we'd probably have had another one so 4 total.

Trinacham · 28/03/2021 20:46
  1. but I'm answering as someone who doesn't yet have any! Maybe it would change after.
bellsbuss · 28/03/2021 20:46

I've got 4 and we are comfortable financially, if money was no object then 5 or maybe 6. I love having a big family.

mindutopia · 28/03/2021 20:46

Two, that’s how many I have and always wanted, but no way I’d want more. It’s never been an issue of money or space, but energy and time. Two have been lovely, but ready to move on from the small children stage of life, do more traveling, I’ve made big leaps in my career in recent years and wouldn’t want to take more time off. Also, I’m 40 now.

MonkeyPuddle · 28/03/2021 20:47

We have two but I’d like three altogether. However we want to buy a house so we are stopping at two.

Cissyandflora · 28/03/2021 20:49

I’d truly not stop. Twenty at least. If money was also no issue of course. I wouldn’t want to bring children into poverty.

N4ish · 28/03/2021 20:49

Just the two I have. No money in the world would make me want another one, I’m done!

OnlyFoolsnMothers · 28/03/2021 20:50

3 or 4- really would love lots of children when I’m an old woman, I’d love big Christmas’s etc-but I’m done at 2

Hexinthecity · 28/03/2021 20:50

None! Imagine all that space and time to do exactly as you pleased, bliss!

Megan2018 · 28/03/2021 20:52

I’d possibly have a second, but not entirely sure. We do feel happy as a family of 3.
If age wasn’t a factor I guess a biggish gap of 3-4 years.

MrsApplepants · 28/03/2021 20:52

Still just the one here.

Chunkymenrock · 28/03/2021 20:54

Oh god, none. The environmental problems haven't gone away.

oohmyback · 28/03/2021 20:55

I have 3. If age wasn't an issue I'd have had 4!!

ColdandFrosty1 · 28/03/2021 20:55

3 for sure, I used to want 5 but now I have one child I don't think I could give 5 children the attention and love they need as well as looking after myself x

SmednotaSmoo · 28/03/2021 20:56

I have 3. If financial issues weren’t a factor I might have gone to 4, but physically and emotionally I’m not sure sure I can cut myself into more pieces.

DramaAlpaca · 28/03/2021 20:57

I've got three and it's been great.

I'd have quite liked four but it would've broken me, and DH would never have agreed anyway.

Blustered · 28/03/2021 20:58

We have the money and space for one or two more but we've stopped at two for health reasons but mainly time and energy. We love our lifestyle with the two we have and would hate to rock the boat adding more to the mix!

Boringnamechanging · 28/03/2021 21:01

4 if I had easier pregnancies but I’m done at 2 because I don’t want to be pregnant ever again.

Toomanykidsandcats · 28/03/2021 21:03

We wanted 2 but got twins second time round so we have 3! Honestly if I could have an easy pregnancy and not have twins again I’d have one more but both pregnancies and the twins birth were awful so never again!

Just leaving this here...

If money, space etc wasn’t an issue how many children would you have?
MondeoFan · 28/03/2021 21:06

Probably 4 or 5. So I'd need a 6 bed house so nobody has to share.

backinthebox · 28/03/2021 21:14

If everyone keeps breeding like rabbits, this is what the housing will be like. There simply isn’t enough space for everyone to have lots of children AND live longer. Abuse our planet enough and it will find ways to limit our numbers, either by wiping out the very old or cutting back on the very young. People are outraged that the Covid pandemic has swept through the elderly population. Imagine how dire it would be if a disease cut back our children instead. People need to consider what they are doing when they have children - more is not merrier in the long run.
