How many Easter eggs do you get your children ??

I have a 5 year old and is an only child and she always does so well as we come from a large family so will receive Easter eggs from both grandparents, aunties uncles etc
So this year as a single parent and a bit strapped for cash I'm thinking of getting my dd just 3 Easter eggs I would normally do a lot more and maybe a soft toy or a small toy. I feel bad but I think it's a waste of money and over exaggerated !
Just wondering what other parents do/or how many eggs they get ?

The thing that I've found this year is, ds has started a new school and there seems to have been a lot of talk about Easter in class. He is excited for Easter this year, so I am going to make more of a thing of it than previous years.

I don’t understand this Easter gifts malarkey

What’s there to understand? Some people buy their children gifts, some don’t. That’s all there is too it.
We give lots of eggs and other Easter chocolate to our children as well as some money. Our family and friends give them some as well. Each to their own and all that.

This year a small chocolate rabbit, some small eggs for hunting and an Easter themed book. I've made it small enough that they can eat it on Easter Sunday and the small eggs over the next few days.

Any eggs from relatives I'll allow to be eaten if they are small, if they're large I'll give some and help them with the rest. They are only 2.5 though.

None from us, the children are 3 and 10 months. 3 y.o still has chocolate coins from Christmas that he's not fussed about. They've already had an egg arrive each from our friend, which DH will probably eat the 10 m.o's in all honesty which is fine as she has no need of chocolate.
My dad normally sends one too, as does my aunt.
We'll just get a book as the toddler will definitely prefer it and I'll bake some biscuits with them or something as I know those will actually get eaten.

I go mad at Easter. I have bought my DS a big smartie egg, a Peter rabbit figure one, and I'm making a basket with an Easter activity book, rabbit teddy and prob another egg plus a few other little things. Also got loads of little eggs for an egg hunt. I also give a present of play dough which I got a month back when it was on discount.

I decorate the table with it all plus decorations the night before so it's a surprise when he wakes up. We all then have an Easter breakfast together.

Will he eat them all at once? No of course not we put them in the cupboard and have them for treats for the next few weeks. He loves sharing thankfully 😍

Something to look forward to isn't it.

Sorry only read the first 4 sentences before I posted 🙈

I start buying bits well before Easter so it's not just one spend.

At 4/5 they don't know so I really wouldn't worry. My DS would love getting just one egg. They're more bothered about time with their parent other than how many eggs they get.

One large egg each, plus Easter egg hunt with tiny little eggs. No eggs from grandparents or friends.
Sometimes get an egg from uncle, childminder or school
