School uniform for big busted girl

I know it's not aibu post but putting it here for traffic
I'm struggling to find white school shirts to fit my 12 year old daughter. She is in adult size 12 normally but I've had to send back 3 lots of shirts now as none of them fit her around the beast.
I need to get her measured for a bra properly as she had a really big growth spurt over lock down but no shops near me are doing this yet so it's making it more difficult to find the right fit. She used to wear 34c bras but they don't fit anymore so is living in her sport bras
Any ideas where I can get short sleeved shirts from

@tiredanddangerous

Which shops are you buying them from? My 12 year old is well developed for her age (thanks early puberty!) and we have no problem getting them from the uniform shop. They do a wide range of shirts which are all sized by bust measurement rather than dress size.
It’s not the dimensions, it’s the ratio. Once you get to a D cup, button down shirts are just not made for you. They gape awkwardly and basically draw a ridiculous amount of attention to the bust. Expecting teenage girls to wear them to school is actually quite mean.

I often wonder what someone was googling to post on a Zombie thread, I can probably guess on this one

Sorry OP I need to make sure you are positive of this. Are you sure she's a 34C??? I'm a 28..... 34 means she's either very big around her back (you only mention she is tall) or she is overweight for a 12yo.

I agree with PP, go to Bravíssimo and get her fitted properly. I used to wear a 34C as well and ended up realising I'm a 28G!

Good luck for her! It's not the easiest thing.... at her age I used to actually wear sports bras. But bravissimo has a lot of choice

@grey12 on what planet is a band size of 34 “very big around the back” Confused seriously, google

Get a bigger size and take it to an alterations place to get it taken in elsewhere. That will help with the length issue too.

I used to get my DDs school shirts from Next / Sainsbury’s / Asda / Tesco’s women’s section. Their plain white workwear shirts were great as they had darts in all the right places. Not traditionally short sleeved, more like 3/4 sleeved though.

@Mumma12345

She sounds like me growing up.
I wish bravissimo had existed then.

Poppyrose6678 · 12/08/2021 06:07

M&S do them. Their skirts are adjustable and most of the sizes for school uniform go up to age 16, some even 18! I found some shirts that go up to age 18 years. Does your daughter wear polos or just normal/blouse shirts for school?

Since when has a 34 been big? And she's 5ft 10 which will make her wider.
