When do children no longer need vests?

My dd is 3 and still wears vests, however she's outgrown most of them now and I'm wondering whether I need to buy anymore. Is there an age when children stop needing to wear vests?

My newborn never wears a vest - I figured she’d be too hot in a vest and a sleepsuit in this weather! Should she be wearing one?

Neither of my ds's ever wore vests.

For newborns, I was always told to put them in one more layer than you would wear.

I think the popper type ds probably stopped at about 2 ish which would have coincided with summer/his vests not fitting

He’s never worn a vest. If he’s cold he wears a jumper etc.

DC 15-still wear vests under school shirts as skinny and feel the cold in the winter ....my gran used to say ne'er cast a clout til may is out ... so we wore vests until end of May ..... in Scotland though! Although I think it maybe related to the may plant....

Vests for winter until they tell you they don't want to wear one anymore, usually about age 10 for boys in my experience (except for hot blooded dc, takes after me, gets very sweaty so just stopped when he started at school with shirt and jumper) Don't know about girls, assume they progress to crop tops then bras?
