I need a cheque for the banner, please Cod, while your cheque book is out. It cost £567.00. I know it's alot, but I told you it was big, has silver thread detailing.

we dont holiday either

bagpuss · 05/09/2007 10:05

God, we couldn't afford to do all of these things and dh has a good job we live in a nice house etc etc but I refuse to let them do more than a few activities each. ds1 and dd do swimming which I think is about £40 for 2 of them for a 6 week block and dh nearly fainted at the cost of that (maybe he is out of touch though). I've binned Tumble Tots as it was too expensive for what it was. Having said that dd may do Yoga at school this term and ds1 has just had a new golf club (goes to the driving range with dh) .

ShrinkingViolet · 05/09/2007 10:06

well, DD1 does ballet because it's the only exercise she actually gets these days, DD2 is sporty and active, and both she and DD3 do their activities as much for the social interaction as the actual activities. Plus we feel very strongly that playing a musical instrument in a group (for which you need to be a certain standard, so lessons are a good idea) is a Good Thing. DHs additional workload is caused by working towards a promotion, which will help financially.

nailpolish · 05/09/2007 10:07

bagpuss my dd plays golf with dh
she has 3 clubs!

bagpuss · 05/09/2007 10:08

Ah good, nailpolish, shall we start a golfing children's clique then?

LaCod · 05/09/2007 10:09
