I have applied three times now, twice online, which I have email reciepts for and second time via post and they have lost all of the forms and have no record of me applying.........yeah right, what a coincidence.

They said go up and enrol anyway, but I know full well that they won't let you enrol unless you have had an interview.

Take ds with you The staff at uni love to see the little ones coming in! And there's always sweets etc for the kids

Go!!!!! now!!!!

zippitippitoes · 04/09/2007 11:48

and if i take you then i shalll make you go out on the pull with me which would be much much more embarrassing

Fireflyfairy2 · 04/09/2007 11:49

Of course you can ring her pet, write down what you want to say.

Get a pen & paper, go over what conversation you might have with her... then write your questions & possible remarks down.

I never make important phonecalls without writing phrases & remarks down

nutcracker · 04/09/2007 11:49

I might go in tommorow, as I have to collect ds at lunchtime and promised him a Mac D's to celebrate his first morning

I can't promise though, am anxious about getting on a bloody bus at the mo, nevermind facing someone telling me to bog off and go work in a shop LOL.

Nutty & zippi.. you are both lovely looking women! I just looked at your profiles

What is it you're nervous of nutty?

zippitippitoes · 04/09/2007 11:51

don't lol i mean it

nutcracker · 04/09/2007 11:52

Aww thanks FFF

I am nevry about most things at the mo tbh. There is much time in the day where I don't feel nervy. Seeing doctor next week to discuss my options about that.

tiredemma · 04/09/2007 11:53

Nutty- You have to do this- because do you know what will happen if you dont?

Next year you will be wishing that you did go along/ring and contemplating applying again, and by then you could have been 1 yr along in your course and closer to getting your preferred job.

Im free tomorrow, I have ds2 with me but I can meet you and go along with you ( pin people to walls etc)

NomDePlumeIsOffWorkToday · 04/09/2007 11:54

They won't tell you to bog off and work in a shop !

Like tiredemma says, it is not personal. They don't know you from Adam. They will, however, judge you from past experience and you may well have to answer some rather baldly put questions in order to 'convince' them that you should be enrolled onto this course.

zippitippitoes · 04/09/2007 11:54

I can make myself free too if I work hard enough today..bodyguards to frog march you in

Fireflyfairy2 · 04/09/2007 11:54

Ah I was like that after I had dd. Do you know what mae me change?

Go on, guess

zippitippitoes · 04/09/2007 11:55

and thanks FFF

nutcracker · 04/09/2007 11:55

Aww look at all the offers of company nutty... how great is that!!

I'm afraid NI is a bit too far away for me to help out

tiredemma · 04/09/2007 11:56

alternativly- I can phone SA and pretend to be you, ( I am emma and a brummie so thats half the battle won!)

nutcracker · 04/09/2007 11:57

ROFL Emma, now that is tempting

OP posts:
Fireflyfairy2 · 04/09/2007 11:58

Yes!! It was!!

Whilst pregnant with dd I did 2 courses, GCSE English & then ECDL.

After dd I took a year off... and fell to bits! Then I enrolled in GCSE Maths. After I did that I applied to the access course. So that was 2 years long. I've just did another 2 years at uni, about to start my 3rd & I'm nowhere near as nervous as I was back then!

In fact I have been class rep, student rep, student ambassador & had work experience with the BBC all in the past year!! Oooohhh get me & my buvketloads of confidence

Fireflyfairy2 · 04/09/2007 11:59

That would be bucketloads

Fireflyfairy2 · 04/09/2007 12:00

And I fell pregnant with ds near the end of the first year of access & sat the exam in hospital!!!!!!!!!!!!! That's dedication.. or madness

zippitippitoes · 04/09/2007 12:00

I shall be checking what you are doing later...seriously if you want company I'll come..can't remember where you are but it can't be that terrifying to find ..can it?

nutcracker · 04/09/2007 12:00

Blimey FFF that is great, good for you.

Sounds so far away from where I am now.
