I quite agree

handlemecarefully · 31/08/2007 18:14

OMG

Every so often we need to be reminded

Milliways · 31/08/2007 18:16

That's quite disturbing to watch.

Really powerful stuff. I wish it could be shown over here. Thank you for linking it.

ejt1764 · 31/08/2007 18:16

wow .... incredibly powerful images!

Trinityrhino · 31/08/2007 18:21

I don;t get it
I must be missing something
all it is is 2 secs of a guy on a phone with a girl behind him

EscapeFrom · 31/08/2007 18:25

God Jesus, that is so powerful! I am not very easily affected but God that gave me the shivers.

VeniVidiVickiQV · 31/08/2007 18:30

It is disturbing. It is disturbing that people need such a reminder.

lulumama · 31/08/2007 18:35

i actually feel a bit nauseated watching that

the people who should see and need to see it, won;t see it though.

handlemecarefully · 31/08/2007 18:37

Well that would include me VVQ - I don't think I am disturbed .....but then again!

VeniVidiVickiQV · 31/08/2007 18:38

HMC, I think you know what I meant.

Unless you go around beating up your wife?

handlemecarefully · 31/08/2007 18:38

I was thinking more of the scene where the mother shouts at the baby in pure frustration in front of her daughter. I imagine most normal mothers have done that when at their wits end occasionally....

Obviously haven't battered my partner, thrown stones at dogs or rolled home drunk in front of the little ones as per some of the scenes in the film

handlemecarefully · 31/08/2007 18:42

Crossed posts. But I took the little pointers from the film rather than the big more in your face stuff. Basically all aspects of our behaviour including the not so good stuff may well be imitated / internalised / adopted by our children...I really do need reminding of this particular huge responsibility that I carry

I should shout less, swear less, get angry less, comfort eat less etc

VeniVidiVickiQV · 31/08/2007 18:45

Absolutely.

I should pick my nose less.......

handlemecarefully · 31/08/2007 18:55

You certainly should you filthy mare

FrannyandZooey · 31/08/2007 18:56

Can we have a description of what it is before we watch it? It sounds like it could be harrowing - I'd rather know what it is about before I click.

Oh, what kind of bad stuff? You mean like nose picking, or worse?

How did they get the clips? Is it acted?

F&Z it is a film of children exactly copying the bad behaviour of their parents, like little shadows. From chucking a can down on the street to hurling racist abuse. I'm a little pre menstrual so my eyes are prickling a little...

Spidermama · 31/08/2007 19:06

Deeply disturbing. Horrifying in fact. I wish they'd mixed the negative images with some positive ones as I think that might have been more effective.

Too much stick, not enough carrot.

FrannyandZooey · 31/08/2007 19:06

No, I'll watch it, later maybe

Thanks for posting the link. I just hate clicking on things if I don't know what they are - and of course sometimes we might feel too sensitive to watch upsetting stuff.

Were the children acting, too? Sorry, I should just watch it, shouldn't I?

FrannyandZooey · 31/08/2007 19:07

Oh cross posts

perhaps I won't, then

DumbledoresGirl · 31/08/2007 19:18

Can I just warn people who care that there is a scene in which it looked to me like someone was being sick. I know that doesn't upset most of you, but it isn't something all of us can watch.

As for the rest of it, I am shocked that you feel the need to "be reminded". Apart from the odd sarky comment about other drivers, I wouldn't say I did any of those things.
