Just started my PGCE (Primary) last week. I am shattered already, as full time uni last year wasn't really full time, and this is Mon-Fri, 9-4, with travel etc on top. I know people do it for work etc., but I am finding it a bit of a shock to the system!
I would be very interested in buying any books people have lying around.

I have just started a foundation degree, it is via distance learning but it is classd as full time argh!!!!

In 3 years I can get a full degree, but the next two years is enough to think about for now. Panicing becuase the virtual blackboard thingy doesn't seem to be set up properly yet and has all the last years course stuff on it, we have been set a task already though and I have sent it off {polishes student halo).

Good luck everyone and if anyone has susused the scottish student grant/ loan thingy tell all.

I'm starting Antenatal teaching Diploma! With a 2 year old and 7month old its going to be fun... but then I'm a glutton for punishment as I did an MA in Child Welfare between 2004-2006 and had 2 pregnancies during it too! So if I can do it anyone can (although its bloody hard work admittedly!)

Just a thought - anyone who is a full time student make sure you let your council know as you get a fair whack off your council tax bill and its not means tested:-)

I found out on Tues I have got a cancellation place on certificate in therapeutic play skills course, starting this Fri Sat and Sun. And my husband is working this weekend which happens about once a year, and then yesterday we were told we had to complete our house purchase and move on Monday!! Has made for an interesting time in our house....At least we have family around for childcare and van-driving...

I'm starting my fourth (and final) year of a BAHons in Latin American Development Studies on October 1st...at the moment am trying to get my schedule off the Uni intranet thingy as need to tell my boss what hours I can work I'm due on March 8th and still have not been able to get hold of a midwife (keep being told they are 'busy and not answering the phone') so am more worried about that than excited about uni argghhh
