porkpie · 09/09/2007 12:50

Niecie · 09/09/2007 16:26

I'm starting my second OU MSc course in Psychology at the beginning of November.

Wondering how I will find the time again.

BecauseImWorthIt · 09/09/2007 16:39

I'm going to learn Chinese! I've signed up for a 6 month course at our local Adult Education Centre. Doesn't lead to a qualification or anything, but still quite nervous.

Joash · 09/09/2007 16:54

Starting a Conversion diploma in Psychology with the OU in October and curently doing a writing course. WIll be closely followed by an MSc in Forensic Psychology.

tiredemma · 09/09/2007 17:03

Joash- the Forensic Psychology looks so interesting. Im trying to arrange an elective placement in a Forensic Child and Adolescent secure unit at the moment- or at the Womens unit next door to it.
Good luck!

Joash · 09/09/2007 17:12

Thanks tiredemma - already looking at a voluntary role and some shadowing in the Forensic section of the Medico-legal dept whilst doing the diploma. The guy I've spoken to likes my experience to date so has no problem taking me on prior to being on the actual course. He admits that he'll benefit as that means they'll have me for four years if I elect to do my placement with them after this diploma.

tiredemma · 09/09/2007 17:14

very interesting- its encouraging when you find helpful people who are keen to help you. Keep me posted- would love to work in Forensic Psychiatry once Ive qualified ( If I ever make it to the end of the course!)

Joash · 09/09/2007 17:17

Thats how I feel - its all a bit daunting at the moment, but I've wanted to do this for so long even though I'll be 49 or 50 before I can become a chartered Psychologist.

Niecie · 09/09/2007 17:46

Joash - I did the Post Grad conversion with the OU and throughly enjoyed it. Which course are you starting with?
