hi KristinaM. dd2 had "normal" food mashed up from 6 months (but unsalted and not hot curries or chillies). Very easy! both of mine got used to lumpy (rather than pureed) food quickly.
but this dd3 gets nothing, even easier!
I also found that Annabel Karmel book useful first time around. it says everything really (unless your baby will be veggie in which case there's a very similar one by Carol Timperley). both books are on Amazon.
HD no, DP does not go with my blessing when it's all day most Saturdays. He coaches a teen team tho and is very into it so he can't just go when convenient. I complain, loud and bitterly (never one to suffer in silence ) but as DP reminds me I was the one who wanted a 3rd child. and he does do half the childcare most of the time, but windsurfing is a huge thing with him.
dd3 has a cute new communication method - she coughs. lots of deliberate coughing to get attention, as if she thinks it's like talking. anyone else's do this?
