Are your children’s vaccines up to date?
MrsDoolittle · 29/09/2004 21:29

Thanks HD _ I thought everyone was going to think I am reeeeeallly wierd

I keep remembering what HMC said about putting babies in nursery - We all feel guilty, it comes with the territory. (Costing a whopping £845, this month )
Essentially, though, dd is happy. So, so should I be!

hewlettsdaughter · 29/09/2004 21:36

YG, you should be doing something nice! MrsD, that's a lot of money - even for Oxford! It's a good job dd is happy there.

yorkiegirl - we have two crappy endowment policies too.

mrs d - I do think you are really weird

Fennel · 29/09/2004 21:49

seriously though, would it be due to the light or what would cause lunacy?

weird is nice btw.

MrsDoolittle · 29/09/2004 22:05

Yorkiegirl, I didn't know you were a moderator -I've been lurking on the dratted calpol thread, What a load of rubbish.

It's like the tides and spiders, I guess! I don't know enough to say really, Fennel

Well there are five weeks in next month, but dh read in the Guardian today that the average cost is £135 a week. So we are paying above average.

Chuffed · 29/09/2004 22:09

wow you guys have been busy this evening. I haven't ever noticed my moods changing with the moon but sometimes you don't notice these things yourself.
when I went to pick up dd from nursery today she didn't even look up. She was so happy and content. It is a bit strange really - it is nice to have some time out but I miss her when she isn't with me.
I wish I lived in Oxford add another £200 for our nursery per month in London it is almost not worth going back. It is ridiculous really but most were similar prices around us.

MrsDoolittle · 29/09/2004 22:10

Hey YG if becoming a moderator is how you can justify this time to your dh - maybe I should become one too

I like your reasoning for becomeing a moderator, YG
I have been googling re the moon - found this

MrsDoolittle · 29/09/2004 22:13

Uhmmm mines complaining about being a 'Mumsnet widower'!

Fennel · 29/09/2004 22:14

Mrs D - average cost round here is about £35 a day. some nurseries are £38 a day. not sure what that comes to a month. have 2 maths a levels but can't add up any more. am braindead.

yorkiegirl, a moderator! what do you have to do, just butt in on dodgy threads? do you have to promise faithfully to log on all the time?

have only now read a calpol thread. clearly I do not spend enough time on mumsnet there is so much I don't know. must read more threads....

Chuffed · 29/09/2004 22:16

I think ours comes to about £50 a day

hewlettsdaughter · 29/09/2004 22:16

eek!

Chuffed · 29/09/2004 22:16

agree but there wasn't a lot of choice unfortunately

MrsDoolittle · 29/09/2004 22:17

Thanks HD - It's the biological tide theory that I was thinking of for spiders. All very interesting.
HD - do you know the chap on the calpol thread? Says he went into Boots in Oxford. Actually, I think I shut up about that eh YG?

I noticed that MrsD...
Did I miss something re spiders?

MrsDoolittle · 29/09/2004 22:19

You have my sympathy Chuffed. I think we are £37 a day and that is without nappies! No problem to me though

Fennel · 29/09/2004 22:19

mine is about £20 a day for one, £35 a day for two. workplace nursery, so no tax or NI. very lucky except am therefore tied to job for sake of super nursery.

I'd heard about the spiders from David Attenborough, I think HD
Oh no YG!I sometimes posted about dd. That explains why Mears kept answering me when noone else did!!! And I thought it was because she liked me
