How many weeks?

OP posts:
TheVeryHungryTortoise · 30/06/2019 00:10

4 weeks.

But I had a relatively straightforward birth: vaginal, no tearing. And had already stopped bleeding. And most importantly it just felt like the right time!

babysharkah · 30/06/2019 00:13

10 days, and then we didn't have sex again for about a year!

neversleepagain · 30/06/2019 00:19

It was over a year. We had twins and were not remotely interested in sex (nor did we have the energy).

Chilledout11 · 30/06/2019 01:18

About 4 weeks (c section)

ListenLinda · 30/06/2019 01:21

5 weeks with DD, 2.5 weeks with DS.

MrsTerryPratchett · 30/06/2019 01:23

How many weeks in a few months? Grin

Why do you ask?

HalfBloodPrincess · 30/06/2019 01:25

Dd2 is 5 weeks tomorrow and we haven’t yet, only because we’re both so exhausted we’d rather sleep

Pipandmum · 30/06/2019 01:26

About three weeks or so but it was a c section. I think longer after my second section but too much of a blur then.

Emelene · 30/06/2019 01:56

I think about 6-8 weeks. Smile

Hugsandpastries · 30/06/2019 02:27

9 months. After an episiotomy it was way too painful to try before then.

Firefly111 · 30/06/2019 02:46

Cautiously at 6 weeks after C-Section

Expressedways · 30/06/2019 03:29

4 weeks (ELCS)

hazandduck · 30/06/2019 03:37

4 weeks, waited til I stopped bleeding. Although it took about 8 weeks for me to regain feeling down there and actually orgasm! I worried for a while I’d broken my foof but it came back 😂

itwasalovelydreamwhileitlasted · 30/06/2019 04:50

NHS guidance is 6 weeks.....

PeachesandPie · 30/06/2019 05:26

Wow, some unexpected replies on here! Most people I know IRL were months, not weeks.

Redrupunzle · 30/06/2019 06:43

First time I'd had a bad birth and episiotomy and waited 4 weeks. We tried then because it was my birthday, tbh both my husband and I put too much pressure on me, it was painful and I wish I'd waited longer. Second time I waited 6 weeks, had an easy birth and I was ready then.

Cuppa12345 · 30/06/2019 06:53

I can't actually remember, maybe 7 weeks, but it was very painful and I didn't enjoy it. It took a few times for me to enjoy it again because it was very painful after a episiotomy. It still isn't the same a year on.

elQuintoConyo · 30/06/2019 06:55

18months and it was excruciating.

Next intimate question...

ToftheB · 30/06/2019 06:55

For balance, at least 6 months. We tried before then but it was too painful.

Seniorschoolmum · 30/06/2019 06:55

About 3 months I think

mindutopia · 30/06/2019 07:05

7 months with the first one - we were co sleeping and exhausted!

3 months with the 2nd - once I had my coil put in.

Tobebythesea · 30/06/2019 07:10

Cautiously at 6 weeks just before my 6 week check up. I wanted to get checked out if it had been painful.

SamStephens · 30/06/2019 07:15

3 weeks for both - but it was a straight forward vaginal birth each time with no issues. Probably the best sex each time lol I got off well and truly before DH and he was chuffed with himself lol

MarchSurprise · 30/06/2019 07:20

I'd have classed myself as high libido before baby but I waited 8 weeks and haven't again at 13weeks until I get the coil. I had a straightforward vaginal birth but didn't want to associate pain with sex. I'm hoping I'll get back to it soon!
