I'm currently 22+1 with my first and am really curious to find out what one item has made your life easier/you consider to be the best purchase made for your little ones 😊

A decent swivel car seat.... (but it doesn’t work if baby is the type to fall asleep in car seat and you need to nip in somewhere)

Jumperoo, kept my LO contained and she loved it

Good bouncy chair is a must here and a yoga ball for bouncing the babe to sleep. Oh and lovely soft thick blankets for floor time.

OnlyFoolsnMothers · 18/04/2019 12:37

Love this bath seat, my DD 20months still reclines on it during bath time today.

Ginger1982 · 18/04/2019 12:40

Perfect Prep machine and Morrck car seat wrap 👍🏻

I’ve 3 older boys so a couple of things new with this baby and I found some of the new stuff really handy.
Snuzpod- better than a Moses basket. So so handy to slide baby in and out of , and at eye level etc. ESP good for bf.
Snuggle bath- doesn’t hurt your back, baby is still in it at 11 months when we don’t want to fill the big bath.
Sleepyhead- these are controversial but it really is great and makes any place familiar because it’s so easily transported .

For newborn, white babygros, which could happily have poo stains bleached out and didn't show up the milk spit up so much. Also muslin cloths. Lots and lots of them.

A tumble dryer. I always managed perfectly fine without one and thought they were a bit of a daft luxury but it is absolutely astonishing just how much laundry one so small can create.

When a bit older, a baby gym/playmat thing, when a bit older again a playpen affectionately dubbed baby jail

sauvignonblancplz · 18/04/2019 12:41

*sorry 2 older boys

Modestandatinybitsexy · 18/04/2019 12:42

Travel system for first 6 months then a swivel car seat.

Also Boden new knitted baby blanket. I love it, it's so cosy, can be warm or cool, I wish I had a big one for my bed!

IntoValhalla · 18/04/2019 12:42

A good sling!
Both my babies practically lived in one for the first year.

Owlet. I sleep so much better now I'm not constantly checking she's still breathing!

People say not to buy Moses baskets but we got so much use out of our £40 one and still using it now she's nine weeks.

Lie-flat car seat. Means we don't have to worry about journey times or getting her out when she falls asleep in it. Ours is bloody heavy though!

Sling. Great for getting stuff done round house when they're in a clingy mood.

Chippychipsforme · 18/04/2019 12:49

Perfect Prep machine
Video monitor
Netflix

Celebelly · 18/04/2019 12:49

Oh and arms up swaddle by Love2Dream. We were using Gro Snugs but found they bunched up around her chin and mouth and wasn't happy with them. The arms up swaddles fit much better and are a nice jersey material, plus she prefers sleeping with her arms up.

Since2016 · 18/04/2019 12:50

Sling. Heated airer. Gro bags.

greystar30 · 18/04/2019 12:52

@HarryPotterFan436 those star wraps are adorable! 😍

I've heard the perfect prep machines are well worth the money, I'll definitely be getting one of those!

These are some great tips, thank you

Perfect prep machine
Ollie the owl (white noise machine)

HarryPotterFan436 · 18/04/2019 13:21

I get so many comments when out and about over how cute and cosy they look. They are so handy as well because baby can’t kick them off.

chickenalapesh · 18/04/2019 13:40

Hands down the cocoonababy! I honestly rave about it to anyone who will listen and my DS is 5 😂 it's such a game changer!

Perfect prep machine also worth it.

user1493413286 · 18/04/2019 13:41

Perfect prep machine and a baby bouncer that could fully lie flat for DD to have short naps in

DelphiMum · 18/04/2019 14:02

Chicco next to me if you are BF - I got one second hand
Giant muslins
Soft sling

IchHabeDurst · 18/04/2019 14:04

Another vote for the perfect prep machine and the baby sleeping bags from Grobag.

The Tommee Tippee electric steam steriliser was also a god send. A cycle only took about 5 minutes with no need for sterilising tablets or fluid and it could hold so many bottles.
