I'm currently 22+1 with my first and am really curious to find out what one item has made your life easier/you consider to be the best purchase made for your little ones 😊

Decent travel system (we had Quinny )

Baby gym

Bit older - baby grobags for bedtime

Wish I'd bought a next to bed cot thingy that is like a baby bed attached to your own

I was also coming on here to say the t&c star wrap! So warm and snugly, but also very practical because it washes well and dries quickly. Very quick and easy to get on and off too. I really couldn't bear the snow suits, and DD was in a pavlik harness for a while, so snow suits were a no go. The star wrap was amazing! Star Star Star Star Star

And yes, if you are bottle feeding, the perfect prep machine! As long as you clean it as they say, no issues with mould at all. Just follow the instructions.

Naturebond or similar! I liked time away from baby but didn’t like pumping, a real hassle and takes time, makes noise etc. But you just pop the naturebond onto the other boob while bfing and it collects milk on that side while you feed. Good in the early days when you’d be leaking on the other side anyway, but carries on working throughout. DH would do the early morning feed while I slept in, using the milk I’d collected the day before.

Weirdly my favourite purchases were totally different for each child because of feeding. Both were for me absolutely ESSENTIAL for that child, but not used at all for the other.

DC1 (formula fed): adored my Perfect Prep! Saved so much time during night feeds when baby is screeching for a bottle. Wouldn't be without it for another bottle fed baby. Baby slept in a little crib at foot of bed.

DC2 (breastfed): Chicco Next2Me crib! You're not getting out of bed to make a bottle, so it makes a lot more sense to have the bed right there and you can just pull baby in and save your back. Sooo much easier. Sleepyhead pod also recommended to go inside. Didn't use the Perfect Prep once.

For both children a swivel car seat was an absolute must-have lifesaver, but only from about 6 months when they're heavier, and outgrow the 'sleeping everywhere' stage (while they're tiny/light it's very handy to be able to carry them around asleep in the car seat).

Baby bjorn bouncer! (But be warned, some babies seem to love bouncers and others hate them!)
