oh no!-just spent another 3 1/2 hours on mumsnet today.Feel guilty like i should be getting on with something else, but i'm so hooked. It's supportive, funny, entertaining, enlightening, and you lot are great 'company' to a lonely mum.
at it every day!-do enjoy it,but should i cut it down a bit.what d ya reckon?
Tell me about your mumsnet habits/usage,then i might not feel so excessive! PLEASE!!
if you feel that you are the only one on the computer(the only being on the planet even sometimes) and you see that other people are literally posting at the same time as you,you kinda feel less lonely and part of a 'group' too, don't you?!..it's like a live chatting experience with other mums for me!(not always had net).As good as going out with a friend!

you learn to get your DP to call as he leaves work so you can rush around and look like you've been busy all day!

Oh yes. I pay for my DC's to be at nursery so I can work from home. Then spend too much time on mumsnet.

i keep saying, i wont switch on the pc this morning, i will go and do work in the garden but it keeps raiing so what can i do?

Earlybird · 05/07/2007 13:18

I'm supposed to be packing to move in 9 days. Of course, I am procrastinting...which includes a great deal of Mumsnet.

However, I tore myself away from the PC for almost 2 hours, and it's amazing how much I got done. Maybe I should try it more often!

Earlybird · 05/07/2007 13:18

procrastinating

Tutter · 05/07/2007 13:19

how did she react lapin?

TheDevilWearsPrimark · 05/07/2007 13:29

Oh yes, I have said 'the DC's have been really good today' to my mum.
I backtracked.

Ah yes I'm another one who pays someone to look after dd so I can work from home and spends far to much time on here

happyathome · 05/07/2007 13:40

maybe we should all attend MUMSNETANONYMOUS.
well it's as addictive as alcohol in my opinion-stops me getting fatter-don't even want to leave it to eat chocolate-that's something!
actually 3 1/2 hourrs is a shorter time for me-have done maybe 6/7 hours sometimes.
thanks everyone.glad it's not just me.
anyone else?

saffymum · 05/07/2007 15:09

WotzaGirl2do · 05/07/2007 18:42

i hate missing my mn time every day! my dh says "you on that bloody mumsnet again?". "No",I reply, "just checking my bank account/the weather/ebay.....". I must be addicted if i am actually lying about it?! I have got so much support, sound advice and giggles from this site that I cannot ever imagine quitting my habit!

margosbeenplayingwithmynoonoo · 05/07/2007 21:43

I am living with my mum at the moment and she has told me off about the amount of time I spend on here.

My brother says, as he walks past me, "so, what's going on at lonely mums dot net?"
