oh no!-just spent another 3 1/2 hours on mumsnet today.Feel guilty like i should be getting on with something else, but i'm so hooked. It's supportive, funny, entertaining, enlightening, and you lot are great 'company' to a lonely mum.
at it every day!-do enjoy it,but should i cut it down a bit.what d ya reckon?
Tell me about your mumsnet habits/usage,then i might not feel so excessive! PLEASE!!
if you feel that you are the only one on the computer(the only being on the planet even sometimes) and you see that other people are literally posting at the same time as you,you kinda feel less lonely and part of a 'group' too, don't you?!..it's like a live chatting experience with other mums for me!(not always had net).As good as going out with a friend!

I go through phases of being on it all the time, then hardly use it at all.

I try to keep it a secret because I don't like the idea of people I know in RL reading my posts. It's hard though as I will often be talking about something I have heard about on MN. I will say vaguely 'Oh I read somewhere that......' before I reveal my secret addiction.

Like Mimizan, I can be on for days at a time, then nothing. I lie to dh, like cruisemum - = NOT GOOD.

Dh says, if you spent a tenth of your time, doing something constuctive, instead of that bloody mumsnett, we'd be millionaires. , but true.

It is constructive though because it keeps you sane.

When I have any niggling doubts or worries I come on here and often find a thread that is relevant to my current worry. It really helps to find others feel the same ,and I immediately feel better, stop worrying and can just get on with life. In fact I usually come off laughing as MN helps you to see the funny side of life's little challenges.

mimizan - me too! me too! I say "I read somewhere that........". Esp when talking to my mum who is in her 70's. She thinks were are a load of middle class twits who should just get on with it! In her day ther wsa none of this information and they did fine blah blah blah.......

oneplusone · 07/07/2007 21:20

I've been spending around 2 or 3 hours a day on MN whilst also moaning on MN how I never seem to have time to do the housework or cook dinner etc......hmmmm....it is possible there is a connection there but I can't quite figure it out

But I do think it is time spent constructively as your comments and advice have made feel a whole lot better, less lonely and made me lol many a time, and a happy mummy means a happy family
