have you ever been camping with 6 kids?

my mum did it every year for ten years with 3 of us & I can tell you she was pretty damn stressed

I didn't say don't have kids, I was just pointing out that large familes generally use more resources short term & long term

PMSL at tooty. Can you imagine if men gave birth!!Theyd milk it for all it was worth. We all know what theyre like when theyve got a piddling little cold. TheyD make sure they were waited on hand and foot- a lot longer than a month too.

Yes, I`m one of five. Best memories of my life

doyouwantfrieswiththat · 29/05/2007 14:48

well I admit it was lots of fun for us but she was always convinced we'd burn the tent down by running in & out while she was cooking..happy days

Anna8888 · 29/05/2007 14:50

Xenia - do you think that the fact that you had such a restricted childhood and no years of freedom before getting married and having children has affected your view of family life and the necessity/interest of working outside the home?

LoveAngel · 29/05/2007 14:52

Point scoring, huh?

My vote:

Mean-spirited woman-haters - NIL POINT

Doodle - if you read through the thread I think I've made it perfectly clear that I think Xenia (and her evil twin) are highly (and to my mind, unacceptably) scornful of women who don't share their zest for working 12 hour days while raising large families.

I take your point about this thread, but to be honest, I'm of the opinion that if you don't like a thread, steer well clear.
If it was just this thread that Xenia and her tiny band of cheerleaders used to vent their anger at other women I would steer clear myself, to be honest. But seeing as she/they pop up all over the place with their opnions (to which I am wholly opposed), I like to put up a bit of an argument against whenever possible. Oh, and I enjoy taking the piss, too (...such easy targets...and I have terrible 'class clown' tendencies, sorry).

Hope that explains it.

"LOL @ xenia's comment about having a man's body. Do you really think a man would recover from childbirth more quickly than a woman?"

LOL

Well spotted, TootyFrooty! I await the answer, Xenia.

kasdie · 29/05/2007 15:18

its up to the person how many children they have ive only got 2 thats enough for me every one different

Monkeytrousers · 29/05/2007 15:21

LoveAngel, Xenia's scorn for menfolk is well documented on the MN boards. It's a confusing paradox that she attributes herself a male psyche and physicality when ever possible...what would Freud say..?

LoveAngel · 29/05/2007 15:25

She doesn't like women OR men? Wow. Maybe she is Xenia from the planet Xog, waiting for the spaceship to pick her up and bring her back to her own people.

Anna8888 · 29/05/2007 15:27

Don't know about Freud, but Xenia can't decide whether she wants to beat men or join them... the only thing we can be sure about is that she is not at all happy about being a woman.

LindzDelirium · 29/05/2007 15:30

I think any more than one is too many, but that's just me being a smug Mum of an Only.

GiantSquirrelSpotter · 29/05/2007 15:46

LOL LD

Monkeytrousers · 29/05/2007 16:11

Are you a scientologist Xenia?

Judy1234 · 29/05/2007 16:13

I obviously have very superior DNA. So people like mozhe and I are right to have large families so we can spread our genetics far and wide like Ghengis Khan and our daughters and granddaughters can have fun and be fit going back to work quickly.

Anna, that's the French. The English NHS now tries to get you out of bed the same day etc. Found better for female health to get back into activity.

LoveAngel · 29/05/2007 16:16

lol@Xenia

Dunno about 'superior' genes, but you definitely have the
'I think I'm superior' gene.

LoveAngel · 29/05/2007 16:18

Yeh, of course that's why the NHS try to get mothers out of hospital within 24 hours. Nothing to do with the health service being over-stretched, understaffed and having too few beds.

Xenia - I live in the real world. Pop in and visit some time.

expatinscotland · 29/05/2007 16:19

Xenia, honestly, you crack me up.

GiantSquirrelSpotter · 29/05/2007 16:21

LOL at Xenia's affinity with Genghis Khan

Otter · 29/05/2007 16:41

you talk such crap Xenia - fictional tosh

Eleusis · 29/05/2007 16:56

Xenia said: "Obviously some can't drive for 6 weeks and have C sections and that's different. "

And even that is a load of crap. I drove after two weeks. Couldn't spend another day couped up in my house. Was very bored.

I appreciate that SOME people don't heal so quickly but many do.

Xenia, love your superior genes post. Can I be included?

LoveAngel · 29/05/2007 17:07

Point is - its great that YOU felt better 3 minutes after popping out your babies. But please don't expect all of us to feel the same, or to apologise for wanting a nice lie down in a darkened room after hours of labour and getting up all night to feed.

FFS, what do you want for all your services to industry / motherhood? A medal? ( I'll give you one but you'll have to make sure your back isn't facing me or I'm likely to shove it up your self righteous, self congratulating ARSE).
